OH loves the BBQ ribs from the chiller! they do only need 25 mins in the oven then 5mins with the sauce on top. usually I find Aldi oven timings a bit undercooking - but in this case they are 'spot on'.0

I noticed today that my local Lidl had one of the few "essentials" in stock that it had been missing until now - fresh ginger.0

Had a pizza roll from a Lidl bakery. Holy moley, that is a taste sensation. Highly recommended.0

The choc trifle from Aldi is delicious , around £ 1.70 for a big size.0

Lidl British burgers (8-pack) - the amount of water and fat that came out of them must have been about half the weight. Just seeing that in the pan did put me off....will return to making my own from mince again.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

All change for Brown bread at Aldi. Or for the Londoners amongst us: Aldi Brown bread value is brown bread.
The good news is that there is now a brown version of the Sandwich thins - I've had these from other supermarkets and they are very nice, and also good value for calories.
The bad news is that the small Hovis loaves (wholemeal [59p] and granary [65p]) seem to have disappeared.
Further bad news is that the large Warburtons wholemeal which used to be 79p is now £1, and there is a new small Warburtons wholemeal at 79p.
Seems like a price rise of at least 20p overall.
There is also an interesting looking small seeded loaf at 79p.0 -
MUSTARD at Lidl his week...39p per 200g for Dijon and Rotisseur, equiv at Tesco is 55p for 185g;s.
And Horseradish sauce 10p cheaper than Tesco for the same size.0
