Bought a punnet of nectarines in Aldi on Friday, by Sunday the skins were going wrinkly, had to eat them quick. On the plus side, the green grapes are ok for 10 days or more.

I have to second the Aldi Specially Selected oven chips (and the Mivvis). I have seen people bulk buying the chips, 10 bags at a time, I'm sure it's the owners of local pub-restaurants. They are the best oven chips ever, huge chunks of crisp potato with a fluffy inside. Amazing.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

Aldi, economy oven chips, the basics/cheapest are possibly one of the worst chips I've had so thin and greasy.
Lidl's oven chips, the big ones are about the nicest I've had. I'm sure Aldi do have decent oven chips but up the range a bit.0 -
I drink black coffee, no sugar. I can recommend Lidl Deluxe roast & ground coffee. It compares really well to coffee costing twce the price. Currently on offer, at £1.79 (was £1.99). I particularly like to Guatemalan one (strength 4).0

I'm uncertain why Lidl's potato croquettes ever found their way into my basket, but a) they did and b) they are completely tasteless. Just so you know!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I am not usually disappointed with Aldi fruit but the apricots I got the other day went in the bin. I tried one and it was like eating a sponge - completely tasteless and a weird texture. The next was just as bad so the whole lot went in the bin."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
