He was very good in Platoon.0 -
The 5litre Laundry Buckets in Lidl look useful. Bought one yesterday to use as a kitchen caddy. Cheap... £1.79 but not strong.0

The vinegar in LIDl 568ml is still 21p but now in a plastic bottle.
The Valley Spire cheese is the same price whether mature or lighter mature, also they have a mild cheese same type package and same price.0 -
The Lidl extra virgin olive oil Is now in plastic bottles I've stopped buying it much prefer it in glass.0

The Aldi bruschetta are lovely, tomato and oregano nicer than the garlic and herb imo. They are with the crisps, for some odd reason and not with the crackers. I noticed some different luxury savoury biscuits the other week - mature cheddar flavour, very small.
I'm missing the savoury rice cakes in the large cylindrical packets. Aldi have Kallo rice cakes at the till but they are not the same.
I've noticed that my Aldi now has large 9 roll packs of all the loo rolls it sells.
I usually get the quilted, which is 3 ply, 4 rolls for £1.49. I think their luxury roll is, like Andrex, only 2 ply.
Aldi ultra kitchen roll is pretty good stuff. At the moment, Plenty is on offer in Wilkos, 6 rolls for £3 so I'm using that.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Really interesting. I keep my plastic bottled olive oil in a dark cool cupboard, we use it quite a lot, and Aldi stock turns over quickly so it doesn't get a chance to go off, but it is interesting research all the same.
I tried the salt and chilli ribs from the Aldi chiller last night - very nice, fell off the bones so no waste of meat.
I can't remember if anyone gave the Aldi salted caramel Magnum lookey-likeys the nod, but ooh, they are really nice. Not many left in my Aldi, always a giveaway of a really nice product.
For anyone getting into the courgetti fad, courgettes are one of the Aldi Super 6 for the next couple of weeks.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again...
