Seemed to be quite a lot of price reductions when I was at Aldi earlier. I guess they must be expecting further battles in the price war.

    Pork Mince 500g £1.49
    Cured Chicken Slices 400g £1.49
    Basic Frozen Pizzas 79p

There were more... can't remember them all, and the degu has made off with my receipt. :D

I noticed loads of price reductions. Bags of chips are now 79p for 1.5kg, bargain! 69p for the home roasts too. Cerals were also heavily reduced, by around 20p-30p each.

I came away quite surprised by the amount of reductions, and obviously being Aldi these aren't going to be back up in price in a week.

Went into Aldi earlier and did a mini-shop, only got about £15 worth of stuff but was enough to fill a shelf on my cupboard as well as my fridge and stick a couple things in the freezer too.

I noticed they'd reduced the boxed four cheese, hawaiin and double pepperoni pizzas from £1 to 79p each, making them even more of a bargain! Must... stock... up! :)
  • I'm so jealous, I'd love a degu :D

Me too!! When we go in Pets at Home for sacks of bird seed I could spend ages just watching them in their big glass enclosure. I love the way they all pile up on top of each to go to sleep!

aww love degues! now, what was I intending to post????????????

oh yes - I normally buy ordinary cocoa (use it for baking and drinks) but Granddaughters asked for the Choceur Instant Drinking Chocolate. Now having tried the Badburys one (disgusting), I wasn't keen, but bought it for them. Tried it myself - and its really nice!

I bought the instant hot chocolate when it was on offer a month or two back and whilst it's better than any of the other instant hot chocolates I've ever tasted, I still find it a tad too sweet for my taste. But then I'm one who drinks cocoa without adding any extra sugar to it and I only eat dark chocolate, not milk ;)
  • The fresh smoked salmon steaks, specially selected, from ALdi, are delicious.
  • Oh and i managed to snag a couple more of the specially selected stollen bites, as they were the nicest i had ever had!

Thanks for the heads up on the reductions. Smart move by Aldi as the big four can't match those prices for long.

In case anyone hasn't spotted it, there's supposed to be the usual £5 off £40 Aldi voucher in Thursday's Mirror.

That's odd , as it has always been the last Thursday in the month, but thanks:D
