Good and bad buys from Aldi and Lidl

We tried the new bagels from the Lidl fresh bakery and tbh I found them rather dense. Will go back to get them at M's whenever we get near one.

As the new Aldi store isn't finished yet I'll try Lidl's Coshida cat food pouches in the hope kitty forgot she didn't like them very much last time....

Have been told (not been in yet) that Lidl has 5% fat beef mince at a good price (better than other SMs) and it's a regular line rather than occasional like Aldi. Can anyone confirm?:)

I got some less than 7% beef mince in Lidl today but they only do 250g packs. £1.89 per pack. I stocked up at Sainsburys just before Xmas with reduced 5% mince they were selling off at £3 a pack !

Had ostrich steaks from aldi last night. Really nice. Quite a meaty flavour. Kids loved the tasters we gave them, but at £4.99 for 2 steaks, we won't be buying again anytime soon. Worth a treat spend though.

We tried a jar of Sweet and Sour sauce tonight what we got from Aldi .
Too vinergarry for our liking , not be buying again

Aargh I've been searching for cut price Christmas cake as OH has been ill but fancies some of this. No sign of it in the local main supermarkets, never buy cake in Aldi so haven't tried there.....on my way tomorrow. Thanks.
