Foodwise I can recommend the following:

Fin Carre Crusti Choc - 45p... the one with rice crispies in
Deluxe choc cake - £1.99 also had carrot - it has white and dark curled choc on top of fudge frosting -n a white window box

    From fridge - 6 Creme caramel pots - 59p I think.. yummy

Alos got some long stem roses £2:j

Aldi brioche bread rolls. Definate thumbs up and ideal with the pulled pork.

I bought these to have with pulled pork too but found them rather tasteless to be honest, they looked great too.

The ostrich steaks are excellent, never had it before. Looks like venison, but not as gamey, similar texture to chicken.

No idea how many stores they are in though as the price card was handwritten.
  • Aldi Sunny Hills Wholemeal Pitta bread 50p for 6 much bigger than Tesco& Morrisons and lovely stuffed with cucumber and tomatoes(from Lidl).

Added bonus went to Aldi at 9.20pm just me and three staff in the store :D

Lidl's West Country Butter with sea salt at £1.25 is excellent. The mature cheddar at £5 a kilo is also great. Bakery is excellent in Terms of taste, range and value. Dry cure bacon good....

I really could go on and on and on....

Branstons are frequently on offer at Lidl at 4 for £1 , so I normally stock up then.

Really? I haven't seen Branston at 4 for £ for ages. I must take more notice of the Lidl's offers. It's worth a trip for me to stock up on those.

Maybe "frequently" was a pushing it a bit. Looking back through the forum ,they have been on the Lidl weekend half price offers ( 4 for £1 or 4 for 94p ) at least twice in 2014 , and am reasonably sure they have also been at 4 for less than £1.50 just as part of their "normal" week long offers at other times recently

Have enjoyed Aldi's sparkling chardonnay after reading a Jane McQuitty review. Not cheap (£7.49?) and not champagne but makes a nice alternative to Prosecco or cava. Quite dry and very pleasant.

Yes the cremant chardonnay is one of my favourites and jane always picks it in her top 50 every summer for about the last three years or so.
    Keep right on :T

We arrived at our Aldi at 8.10 am this morning and it was really busy, they had to open an extra checkout:eek:
