I normally buy Heinz Beans or Branston Beans but I have decided to try the basic beans in Morrison’s / Tesco / Lidl / and Aldi! So I’ve bought one tin of each to try so it will be interesting to see if any of the value beans are nice enough to have on a regular basis if so it would be quite a big save what are the opinions of the group and suggestions. The only baked beans I will eat other than Heinz are Aldi's branded beans0 -
I prefer the Corale (Aldi) baked beans to Heinz - they are really nice! so is their Ravioli so the grandkids tell me. and there seems to be a lot more ravioli to sauce than other brands.0

Aldi brioche bread rolls. Definate thumbs up and ideal with the pulled pork.
Lamb and Mint burgers are back, no choccy digestives!
I'll find out how good the ostrich steaks are tomorrow!0 -
I've just seen the most brilliant ad - people buying quality fruit and veg from a market stall and being v pleased with the prices. The surprise factor - when the goods are handed over they are in Lidl bags.
Although I didn't note any charge for the bagValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Apparently the ad is based on a highly successful PR stunt they arranged in Sweden.
They opened a posh restaurant (called Dill - an anagram of Lidl) and made all the dishes with Lidl-sourced ingredients. It was a huge success and then they revealed where the produce came from.0 -
According to my cat - the Lidl DRY cat food is superiour to Aldi's Vitacat. I must trust her judgement as I'm not going to try themFirst they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

Branstons are frequently on offer at Lidl at 4 for £1 , so I normally stock up then.0
