I have always used Oil of Ulay, or should that be Olay (showing my age now), beauty fluid. What should I be looking for in Aldi, I'm just after a everyday moisturiser rather than day/night cream.mcculloch29 wrote: »I used Olay fluid and creams for years but Aldi products get my vote now.
The Q10 Daily Face Cream in the blue and white tube is great for an everyday moisturiser, it has an SPF of 15 so will be fine for UV protection as we move into Autumn. £1.49
Another face cream with an SPF of 15 that I quite like is a bit thicker and heavier than the Q10 - the Expert Day Cream. There's a night cream too. £3.99
There is also a range of serums in pump - action ground glass bottles, absolutely brilliant. £3.49 They have moved the matching eye cream on to the Specials list (I bought three the last time they were available).
The 3-in-1 facial cleansing wipes are great quality, though I usually have to hunt for a pink pack for mature skin,
Look for the 500ml for £1.29 maroon Dove looky-likey body lotion. It's gorgeous.
I've used the standard day cream in a jar for basic moisturising for a while and it's absolutely fine. Currently I'm trying the Expert day cream and that's great too, much creamier. I always reckon at the ridiculously low prices you can always use it up on hands/feet if it doesn't suit.
Another vote for the serum and the eye cream (please post when it comes again if anyone sees it). And that 'mature' body lotion is great too.VfM4meplse wrote: »Now where's the poster that complains about the Aldi car park all the time when you need him?
A few weeks back my car wouldn't start in Aldi car park. I went in and told the manager that I would be there for some time and he said they might well send me a fine but that they would vouch for me and I needn't pay. I haven't heard anything but that's probably because my car left on a low loader so wasn't registered as leaving late! The breakdown man had great fun extracting the car in the packed car park!:D0 -
Rejoice and hally-blimmin-lulljah! Our local aldi now stocks skinless, boneless chicken thighs! :j
This was the only regular meat item had to source elsewhere, now I don't have to0 -

That's great. I love the flavour of thighs in casseroles and it'll be so much easier than pulling off the skin myself (or worse still going elsewhere and paying through the nose!).0 -
Lidl - Sweet and Sour Chicken
in the ready meal fridge section.
it is the best ready meal i have ever had [and i am not normally forthcoming with praise for ready meals]
you can microwave it or put it in the oven [which i do].
the chicken is really lovely and moist, no grisly bits.
no nasty additives either0 -
Aldi individual tiramisu in a twin pack. Excellent quality.0

My daughter by accident bought anti-wrinkle cream from Aldi some time ago and gave it to me to use it up . I dutifully did but as I neither liked the smell nor the texture very much (I probably don't need anti-wrinkle cream yet,
) I won't buy it for myself. That's a very subjective verdict as I am extremely picky with facial and body care products....

Was it the lacura one in the jar? I don't like the smell either. I have looked at the recommendations for other facial products but don't know if they'll have the same smell.0 -
