Had the Aldi specially selected Belgium chocolate cheesecake yesterday. Couldn't believe how good it was!
I'm not a cheesecake fan generally, but this was a really good quality.
Buying more and more things at aldi ATM, and can't think of anything that I don't like..

I wonder with the Milk problem.

Is it being kept in the fridge when people get it home?
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

I doubt anyone's daft enough not to keep milk in the fridge - but it's quite likely that some Aldi stores aren't keeping it refrigerated between its arrival at the store and its being placed in the chiller cabinets.

Any experiences of aldi or lidl steak? I have some steak from aldi in the freezer (aged something or other). Also bought some of the aldi fillet steak last Thursday on their special offer.

Cooking for friend on Thursday night. Which one do you reccomend I cook. I can't remember the last time I cooked steak( not a big red meat eater?
Any tips on how to cook it?

I don't think it can be. Either that or they keep it in the fridge door so it's subject to frequent temperature fluctuations. I've never had a problem with a 2 litre carton of milk lasting at least a week, often as long as ten days.

We buy 2 litres of semi skimmed every week from Aldi and it's never gone off, the milk from the local farm shop however...

I agree the f&v can be hit and miss, so I pick and choose what we get from there. Apples are generally ok, grapes I have to inspect as I've had the odd one go mouldy within a day, satumas/whatever they are I don't bother with anymore as they're horrible, ditto with strawberries.

Mushrooms, chillis, lettuce, mange tout and small spuds all ok, no worse than anywhere else.

I get an ALDI RUMP steak every week.

I find the rump from Tesco and Morrisons very very tough but the Aldi one is very tasty and actually quite tender.

The fillet from Aldi is also delicious but you get more steak for your money with the rump.

Got the Romane lettuce last week from Ald super 6, lovely and crunchy. Got same again today, not nice. Dark green, floppy and a bit bitter.
A watched pot always boils. :j

Also could it be the home fridge is the problem?

Before we all answer that, can anybody tell me what the temperature is at the moment in their fridge, by temperature, not the setting?

Thermometer in there all the time, reading no higher than 5C.
