I appreciate all the reasons for the checkout speeds at Aldi, having shopped there for years, but you know things are going too far when you find on your receipt that they've overcharged quite substantially.
One item - two purchased - four put through the till
Another item - one purchased - two put through the till
Vouchers taken for both, but no discounts given.
It's beyond a joke now - having to cross-check every till receipt to check there are no duplications or 'strange' items just added on. I'm a big fan of Aldi (and Lidl) but this overcharging simply doesn't happen anywhere other than Aldi, and it's likely to cause serious reputational damage if the press latch onto it.
Check your receipts carefully to see what might have been added on by an overenthusiastic checkout operator. I'm not in any way suggesting it's deliberate, but it's happening far too often for them to ignore the problem.0 -
I wouldn`t feed my dog raw chicken. They can carry Salmonella

According to my vet, dogs have much higher level of acidity in their stomach which kills any bacteria including salmonella. Thousands of dogs eat raw chicken every day, including my own. Google BARF diet.
I had the Aldi 10oz rump steak for dinner tonight, best steak I've tasted in a long while.0 -

Aldi's Oakhurst marinated mini chicken fillets - hot and spicy flavor - delicious (and very hot and spicy!). They also do a lime and coriander flavour and a red thai flavour.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

There is no excuse whatever for three errors in one smallish shop.0 -
I have recently been shopping more at L!dls but find the fruit and veg quality terrible. I bought a bag of carrots and some broccoli on Sunday, went to use the carrots and 3 of them were black and had to be thrown away and the broccoli had turned yellow at the tips.
This is the second bag of carrots that have had a large number of them needing to be thrown away so I won't be buying from them again! :mad:0 -
Yes folks it`s true , 2 old f*rts pulled tonight !!
Well actually it was the Pulled Pork from Aldi but it made a change for us old`uns to do a bit of pulling again
Rather tasty but think the portion size would be for one person !
