Absolutely everything other than the immovable like the chilled and frozen! There were some specials on aisle one, booze had been moved into the middle more rather than the last aisle. I understand supermarkets move things round to get us to look for them and I get why they do it too but there were rather a lot of confused shoppers who couldn't find a darned thing. It was ridiculous!Grocery challenge June 2016

I'm sure I'll find it a bit more time consuming at first but I'll stick to my list like I always do.
One thing I like about my Aldi is there are always staff around you can ask.0 -

It's all the extras which suck me in.
Bought a new bread maker and silicon cake case today. £35 I'd not have spent in Tesco.
The loaf I made tonight was lovely though...
I have been eyeing this up but more for the yoghurt function, I have a Panasonic breadmaker that is used most days (well, I actually have 2 but we won't go into that).
And rice wine?? Do you think you'd try making either of those?
Does seem like a bargain for £30 though.
Does anyone have the ice cream maker?0 -
Aldi's fat-free (or low fat, can't remember and I'm not going downstairs to check) Greek style natural yoghurt is every bit as nice as the Total stuff.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Aldi's Austin's (Pimm's No 1 tastealike) - great value at £5.99 a litre.
Shame they've dropped the ABV from 21.9% to 17.5%, but it was £4.99 for 75cl 8 years ago so perhaps understandable.0 -
Aldi Snackrite Salt and vinegar twirls - amazingly moreish and super tasty.0

We always have Lidl's Greek style yogurt, comes in really big 1 litre buckets. The full fat is nicer than low but sometimes I'm being "good"
Also have to report back on Lidl's Asian week special, the Crispy duck with pancakes, which OH bought on impulse. Nice not having had to spend a lot of time cooking but not good value tbh. The pancakes were tiny and a bit bland and £4.99 for a half-duckling with a bit of marinade ?....the sauce was not really that nice either.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
Just heard on the news that Tesco's profits have dropped, due to competition from Aldi and Lidl. Be interesting to see if Asda will annouce the same.
Went into Morrisons the other day (first time in ages) and they have reduction signs and offers everywhere. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

In our town we have Morrisons, Sainsbury and Asda (nearest Tesco 10 miles away) and of the three we have it seems to be Sainsbury that Aldi has affected most. It is almost deserted some times when I pop in for the odd item. Asda seems to be the usual noisy & chaotic store it always was and Morrison (according to my DD) is as busy as it always was. We don't have a Lidl (nearest 10 miles away) so it seems to be just Aldi that's creaming off the Sainsbury's profits hereabouts."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream.
