There's a rumour that Aldi will start organic milk soon. Their marketing people must have realised how many Waitrose exiles have been visiting.

yes, they have organic milk in store today - tbh - I never even looked at the price and just bought a litre of the usual semi-skilled.

OH normally NEVER wants a repeat of last nights meal (leftovers to you and me) - tonight he REQUESTED more of the boiled gammon from last night. bluddy good thing I had kept some back to go in freezer, I usually just give the leftovers to sons wife.
I buy the Gammon joint from Aldi and cook it my way - twice as long as pack says. and its seriously good!

Apart from Toro Loco red wine from Aldi (the £3.59 one if im right), any other wines I should try from Aldi and Lidl that are worth trying ?

Aldi Old Vines Garnacha. For £5 it is fantastic value.

Any bargains to be had in the Romford branch? Am passing by on the way to Essex proper tomorrow.

Lidl for me this morning and I spent a record £63. For that I got loads. Stocked up on their bin liners, got some of the weekend chicken offer and some of their Asian offers including battered pineapple. They even had paneer for £1.39. Never seen it that cheap.
Loads of good quality fruit, veg and salad.
They also had some really nice crisps 6 bags for 89p. They were some of the best I have tasted.
There was only one thing on my list I couldn't get. I am sure they now stock a much better range than they used to.
I had gone through a stage of using Tesco. I was courted by the petrol offer and club card points. The saving in Lidl far outweighs any offers tesco have.

I don"t know - there always seems to be a bruised one in the bags. I like their oranges though, come on super 6!

I've now found a local grocer that does the most beautiful Golden Delicious apples, and I am happy to stick with him for my apple requirements.
    Buy a tree from Lidl!

We bought a peach tree which, in truth, is little more than a stick yet it's already got 6 baby peaches on it.
