I am excited today as having a dishwasher delivered!!!Yippee.
Builders are also brickweaving a patch of lawn outside so we can park on it, so its all go here, and then later I'm taking both kids to taekwondo (sp) not sure either of them will think much of it, but with the weather so bad at least they will be doing something and not trashing the house.Always on the hunt for a bargain0 -
Morning everyone.
DH let me lie in till 7:30 this morning when he had to go to work. He has been a real twinkle. I still feel like a sledgehammer has hit me. Baby is just having a little kip, and i am tempted to join him.
My plan is to just do what i can. After all, this bug should only last a few days, and the house is still going to be here after that. All i've managed to do is got us both dressed, and then by the time i'd walked downstairs baby had puked on both of us so a partial change needed. At least the cat appears to be better. It keeps having these funny stomachs, which the vet put down to what it eats outside.
Just had my high strength vitamin C tablet to try to speed things along, and i suppose i should attempt to tidy the kitchen a bit from breakfast and packed lunch making. I can't leave everything for DH or i will feel even more guilty and he'll end up being ill from overdoing it.
Becca i reckon you should have the week off, because if they will still be wearing the same clothes as when you left, at least the washing basket wouldn't be full. :rotfl: Seriously, one woman can't tidy up after 7 people single handedly, so no wonder you feel tired. Get all the kids to pitch in.

Becca - have a tantrum! Scream, shout, throw yourself on the floor!:D
And give them a list each of the jobs you expect them to do. They'll thank you for it in the future when they can run their own households, even though they won't appreciate it right now.
In the meantime, plan a treat for yourself. PUT IT IN THE DIARY. And do it. You deserve some me time.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Thanks you guys!
I can just about see the tantrum as well! :rotfl:
i've had those many times in the past and they only help for a day or so. If that. ;-)
I am taking time for me.. that's tuesday and thursay night when I'm off Country line dancing. But even that is getting to me, because it is again so much time away from the house and chores. I find that DH doesn't put the kids to bed in time when I'm away, and when I get back home there's still the dishes to do and the toys to put away.
Maybe I should make DH a list of chores huh?
You'd think that a grown man could figure it out himself, but apparently not!
:rotfl:
Anyway.. getting ready to go to work now.
Thanks for the giggle girls. That helps already.

Becca
He may be a grown man but they are all little boys at hearttherefore they DO need a list and a kick up the bum
Do your kids have pocket money, perhaps the ycould earn it by doing jobs for you.

I really need some motivation today
I can usually find it just by reading what everyone else is up to but I'm on day three of not talking to my husband today and, well, it's not much different to usual.
DD has knocked pictures off the wall, decorated the coffee table and photo holders with her milk and poured an entire carton of rice krispies on the floor, so I'm looking forward to a day of it!
Need to make some soup for lunch and should take the kids to Brewsters later to wear them out. I'm still exhausted after Cadbury World yesterday!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Doozergirl As someone said to me the week before last when I was really miserable, 'Chin up, hon!' And have a hug! Think of something you can treat yourself to, and then do something in the house so you've earned your treat!;)
I do this often - okay, if I do the washing up, then I can have five minutes reading my new gardening magazine, or half an hour in the garden.(Not to mention being too scared of moggins not to do my work!)
Coffee time at the moment. And I would like to announce: (cue, drum roll....)
I have a completely empty understairs cupboard!!!!
It took 45 minutes for me, DS1 and DS2 to do. I have 3 bags for recycling, 5 for the tip,and a pile of loose big stuff by the car, and 2 bags for charity - all of which are out of the house, and will be delivered when I've finished my coffee. I'm feeling resolute today!
We put everything in front of the garage, and I'm hoping we can get the cupboard painted by tonight and just put back the things we need to keep.
I did the sittingroom yesterday, so I should be able to do the painting with either DD or DS1 and keep up with the list.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

THE SILENT TREATMENT
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM”. He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.
Hugs to all

WIFE VS. HUSBAND
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."working hard at this thing called life0
