    You know that's not true!

These things are sent to try us and half term with poorly kids must be a nightmare! Reassess tomorrow and if you still can't do anything then that's okay too; some things are more important... like sanity ;)

    (oh, and little'uns!)

    thanks Doozer!!

I am trying!!! lol.. VERY trying said my mother! I've had one after the other ill for 3 weeks now. 1 is left with just a cough, 1 had a migraine and now I have 1 with a nasty cough and 2 with full blown snotfests!! I think one of them it must be classed as the flu because she is absolutely wiped out and has been for 2 days. She won't eat, she won't drink because her throat hurts, she can't stop coughing, her muscles hurt because of the coughing and she has had so much medicine she is constipated and having more medicine for that!!

DH wouldn't even hug me earlier in case I caught his germs he said.. he doesn't want me to be ill.. not because it is unpleasant but in case I ned him to watch the childrne while I recover!!! Not selfish at all is he?

and the sanity is LOOOONNNGGG gone!! lol

  • Afternoon everyone

Hope you're all ok and those of you with lo's are surviving half term! We've been at the outlaws since Saturday so you'd have thought my house would be relatively tidy but dh and the lo's can manage to create armegeddon in just under 2 hours - how do they do that? Poor old dh has now gone to the dentist to have a tooth pulled _pale_ so I'm doing a quick tidy while he's gone.

    So today now I'm back
I've had the WM on 4x (ditto the TD)
I'm just cooking the spuds for the top of tonights fish pie
The DW has been on and is being slowly refilled

Moggins List - looking like I won't get much of this done as lo's are playing in there and I daren't go and look yet........
Living room - Dust, [STRIKE]Hoover, Tidy[/STRIKE],I did do this but no-one would notice now:rolleyes: declutter. [STRIKE]Don't forget to swish away cobwebs, hoover under sofas and check down the side of cushions for loose change (which goes immediately into the PMS fund), wipe down the front of the TV (this is the best use for tumble dryer sheets LOL).[/STRIKE]
Hallway - [STRIKE]Hoover[/STRIKE], dust and clean skirting boards.
[STRIKE]Tidy understairs cupboard [/STRIKE]- this is my pantry - access fronm the kitchen so it's part of the kitchen clean-up
[STRIKE]Hoover stairs and clean skirting boards up the stairs.
    [/STRIKE]

i only got back from OHs about an hour ago. i had a lovely time as my mum and gran were in london and i don't get to see them much - was lovely to catch up :) i'm behind on cleaning but at least it hasn;t got messy or dirty really while i've been away, and i left drying over the bannisters. so just a couple of jobs for when i get back from work tonihgt (and have watched life on mars!). i'll be kicking the kids out of the youth group as that only finishes at 9 and its a 10 minuted drive home...and i can't set my video (no remote!!)

    my quick list then:
wipe all kitchen (worktops, cupboards, appliances)
    put away clean washing
    hoover & mop kitchen floor
s&s bathroom & put cleaner down loo overnight
    unpack bag
    do meal plan til weekend

    i think that will do!!!

I did a terrible mother thing.. I stuck the littlies in front of a disney film so I could have some peace! And even worse I am washing the little ones over loved eeyore.. you know those toys they cannot live without!!.. he is in the washing machine! I being of wonderous experience bought 2 so she has a clean spare she can hug!

I cooked dinner, put 2 more loads in the WM's, loaded both dryers, unloaded DW, got out the pj's and swept the kitchen floor!!!

I need the breadmaker on later and to refill the DW.

Sounds like you're having a good day pigpen. I've done the terrible mother thing and am currently letting my two have a go on the playstation....of course DS's consultant did say this was good for him so perhaps i'm being a pefect mother! Hee hee! Going to catch up with the bathroom now and put a washing load on and finish tidying the living room and PUT THE CHILDREN TO BED YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Sorry, got excited at that last bit. Hope eeyore comes out ok!

oh Eeyore will be fine thanks.. he goes for a swim quite often, he is looking a big worse for wear anyway, these loved toys are simply not made to past are they?.. I was thinking of looking for a third on ebay just in case one does fall apart.

These are all ready for bed and as soon as the little one has finished her hot chocolate she is off to her nest and I'll stick the rest of them in theirs while i am up there.. and send DS2 down to do his injection again!! He will be sat playing on the PS2 as well.. star wars battlefront THE Mother of all obsession!!

I think I may empty the under stair cupboard once these are all away, it is quite early still.. plus DH will be back soon and he can put it all away when I get fed up!!

    • Vacuum upstairs/[strike]downstairs [/strike]
    • S/S bathroom/kitchen
    • 2 loads of washing - 1 load done...needs to go in the drier!
    • [strike]Empty DW [/strike]
    • Put ironing away
    • [strike] Hopefully ensure DS2 has a fun day!! [/strike] - AT LEAST THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE WAS ACHIEVED
Unfortunately I didn't get to tackle the ironing last night...have got to go & do it now......I've never let it get this bad before:eek: . Unfortunately DD still poorly - Dr says it's viral gastro-enturitus (?sp)

DS2 had a fab birthday and luckily has been really well today...don't know what came over them all yesterday as DH better..although has a super-bad case of man flu - I'm afraid I find it impossible to be sympathetic...IT'S JUST A COLD!!!!!!!!!
