im plannin an anti-valentines day, not because it's commercial or expensive, but because (in my opinion) men aren't worth me bothering about...yes i'm spending valentines with a(nother) broken heart, so i'm going to the pub quiz with my friends and getting steam boating drunk. if it ends up like my last anti-valentines night i'll get picked up by the police at 4am on the beach...that was a fun night! (in case anyone is looking to learn from my experience...do not text your mum from the back of a police car...she will not be impressed :rotfl: even if she did it many years before you did!)

Oh God, I've been transported back to my youth on the Isle of Wight!!!
Why didn't someone kick me up the backside earlier:mad:

I wont be seeing much of my OH this Valentines... its my Dad's 60th so i'm going for a family meal... will be very money saving for me tho!:D
  • I've never actually seen my bloke on V-day cos he works away during the week. We went out for a meal though at the weekend and got each other a gift and I got some flowers, just normal ones as I think roses are a total rip-off.

Not usually a massive valentines fan as you don't need a special day to tell someone you love them but it's nice to make a little effort.
    I :heart2: saving money
  • Oh bother,

Just booked OH and i a few days in Dublin in March as a surprise valentines day present for him... well... we had decided to go to Paris for a few days as i dont really fancy dublin but he has his heart set on it, so its not costing me much and it will be worth it when he opens the fake certificate i just sat and made at work!!

3 nights half board for just under £200 including flights.

I've got my boyfriend a football top and a sports bag (both in the sale) which he wanted/needed(£20.50 for both).

He's paying for dinner but I have booked us a 5pm treat... a 3 course meal each and a glass of wine for £10.99.

Still think I've spent too much. Much less than last yr tho.
