Going over to a mates on Wednesday evening for an anti-valentines evening. He is cooking dinner and I assume we will both be watching tv after. Nothing special or amazing but free!

Since I am STILL single
- it will be a very cheap Valentines Day for me! :rotfl:
Oh well!!
Actually, I have a work seminar in the morning, so get to spend it in a hotel, continental breakfast, but with 20+ accountants - not exactly what I had imagined, but never mind.
Southernscouser - dont forget my Valentines Card! :kisses3: xx0 -
I'll not be seeing my OH as he lives a 3 hour drive away, but will be celebrating at the weekend - nice meal at home, cheap bottle of wine and a DVD, but he did say he wanted his card on Wednesday....... !!!!!! I could have got a nice one half price on Thursday!0

The only time we went out for Valentines was our first year together when we were in the first flushes of love:rolleyes: Even then our 'pressents' to each other were theatre tickets and a hotel for a weekend away in London. The day after Valentines Day we were walking through central London and saw Tescos had their roses reduced to £2 from about £15, so I had those as well:rotfl:
Now we are old and married we just have a night at home with a nice bottle of wine and a special meal (something we wouldn't normally have during the week). We do cards but only small ones and we try and find the silliest ones we can.:rotfl:MFIT No. 810 -
For the last 2yr OH and I havent really celebrated... my grandad died just before v.d 2yr ago so i wasnt really in the right kinda mindframe to celebrate, but i did hand make OH a card and he went out and bought me some sweet little things, but no fuss was made, i didnt even open them on V.D
This year, hes got a rotten cold so i doubt we'll be doing anything... no special meals or anything... just a night in on the sofa. I dont think we are even sending each other cards, which TBH, is fine by me. Hes married me, i know he loves me, i dont need a card to show it (although expensive diamond jewellery and a new car would be acceptable) ha ha ha0 -

Sorry to hear about your sad Valentine's Day experiences - but I had to giggle at the VD acronym. It's kind of catchy... What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
I know... i used to be really in to a band called Violent Delight.... V.D i had to stop wearing the band t shirts after a while....

I have an DH but we dont bother with Valentines Day. I think it is overpriced and commercial. I think a card is nice if you are apart and I like the sound of a nice meal etc etc at home.Save £12k in 25 No 49
