ok Then...........here Goes, Someone On This Forum Has Actually Mentioned The Scheme That I Have Just Got Involved In. I Am Using This Forum To Give An Accurate Account Of My Journey, Those Who Are Interested Please Tune In!!! I Have Invested In A"key" With A Friend Of Mine, Therefore Investing £1500 Each. The One And Only Reason I Have Done This Is Because I Have Remained A Sceptic For The Last 6 Months But Since Then 2 Of My Friends Have Both Received 23k Each, It Has Taken Around 4/5 Months From Beginning To End, So This Is My Story..... I Started On The Back 8 And Am Now On The Next Level With 4 Other "investors" Having Got My 2 Other Contacts As Requested, So Now I Just Sit And Wait..........right??? Lets Find Out..........

Just do the maths. In a very short time you are going to run out of people to recruit. A few lucky people will gain some money, but the majority will lose. Haven't you read any of the other posts in this forum? Those two friends of yours have gained that £23k off the backs of the poor suckers who came in later. Where else do you think that money has come from, a magic money-making machine?

Pyramid schemes are for two types of people. Con artists, the ones who start the "scheme". And people who can't do the most basic maths. All you're doing is shifting existing money around and forcing greater inequality than the normal status by making over 88% of people lose out (less money after they join than when they started). And that figure doesn't change no matter how small or large the scheme is.

Honestly, sometimes I despair of people.

Considering all the information put out over the years of how these schemes cannot work for all the [strike]fools[/strike] people that join. Anyone with half a braincell would not touch them (unless you are the con artist that starts a scheme up).

It really does show to be true. A fool and his money are easily parted.

Things you should know about pyramid schemes

1. They are losers. Pyramiding is based on simple mathematics: many losers pay a few winners.
2. They are fraudulent. Participants in a pyramid scheme are, consciously or unconsciously, deceiving those they recruit. Few would pay to join if the diminishing odds were explained to them.
3. They are illegal.

I am disappointed that givandtake has not returned to this forum to explain how they think they are going to make money without anyone losing out. Perhaps us sceptics on here are missing something and there is actually a way that a pyramid scheme will work where there are no losers. (there goes another flying pig!).

More interestingly I would like to hear from them in a few week's time when the whole thing collapses and the recriminations and arguments start amongst the group.Perhaps the whole thing is a tax on stupidity.

You can easily all make money. You use the invested money to plant a money tree and wait a couple of years and it will be sprouting money constantly.

It's at times like this that I despair at humanity.

Either she is a con artist hoping to get rich quick through this scam, or she is a victim of a con artist. Either way - I truely despair...

The entire gifting thing showed just how gullible people are prepared to be if there's money in it.
All the wonderful money being gifted, where do they think it comes from?

Looks like it is rearing its ugly head again in the Bristol area - my wife has just returned from lunch with a friend who works in the finance sector(!) who has been well and truly brainwashed - they even referred to it as "Pyramid Saving" - Mrs TimC politely declined.
