if you can't afford it then you can get someone to sponsor you so that you don't miss out... how can this be right?

This is the saddest bit, people told to borrow money from sponsors so when the scheme collapses or when they fail they not only lose money but then riddled with debts to others they borrowed from.

Very sad the brain washed/ill informed Midsomer Norton women in the clip.

The name Midsomer Norton always makes me think of Midsomer murders TV show - there will probably be less murders now in Midsomer now they are all involved in passing money around a pyramid.
  • this is starting to go national and I have been contacted by the national media.

They are looking for women who "invested" in this scheme who are prepared to go air. Blacked out with disguised voices if needed.

If you know someone or are prepared to go on air yourself then please leave me a private message and I can put you together with the media.

Do you think Mrs Box pays tax when she receives more than £3,000????
because that how they try to get you to invest by saying you can get a payout of £24,000.

And i never heard any talk before i could put money in !!

And what happens when you do want to "run"???

my mum was offered somthing like this last night called "women on wednesdays" , what a load of rubbish. if someone offered me this i would be insulted and give them the two finger salute as my gift to them.
  • Hi I live in Midsomer Norton and I cannot believe how this scheme has taken hold. I first heard about it before Xmas and my initial reaction was that this is a pyramid scheme. I was immediately scoffed at saying it definately was not. I came to the conclusion at the end of the conversation that my friend had been well and truly brain washed and no amount of convincing from me was going to make her see sense.

Since then I have spoken to at least 10 others who have also been brain washed. I am absolutely amazed that these women, who I thought had a high degree of intelligence, have fallen for this! The thing I found most infuriating is that it says it is empowering women, what an insult!

My 21 year niece summed it up quite nicely to her mother when she said 'mother it's like a game of musical chairs, and I just hope you get your money when the music stops'.

I overheard the hairdresser this morning discussing it with her customer and I so wanted to jump up and say don't touch it with a barge pole, but if you dare to question this scheme you get kind of shunned!

There has thankfully been a lot of local press regarding this and I hope it has deterred some people from joining, but I fear it is too late for the majority and that there will be a lot of unhappy people at the end of the year if not before.

I don't know 7 people in Bristol who HAVE £3000 !!! Makes me glad that the WAGS at the school gate don't talk to me, if this is the sort of scam they are discussing. Do people still fall for these things? There has been extensive publicity about them, why are people still being stung?

Because no matter how much you tell people you net nothing for nothing or if its to good to be true its a scam they still have that one thing that made them interested in the first place, The greed and want to be rich very quickly doing nothing.
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

  • Your right Roswell, It's the lure of the £24k. I've heard people say who have been to a payout night 'you should have seen all that cash on the tray!'

I wanted to go to one of the meetings to witness 1st hand how they sucker people into it, but know I would stick out like a sore thumb as a non believer.

and like you, azjh77, I'm amazed at the amount of people I know who have £3k to throw away! I work in the Financial sector and if I asked one of them to invest in an ISA they'd completely boo hoo it and accuse me of trying to sell them something!

I over heard the other day it's now breaking into Shepton Mallet, so Shepton beware!!

Looks like a bit of national publicity may be on the way. I'm starting to think that publicity may be a bad idea without some form of police action warning...

after all they are supposed to protect the public
