  • I managed to get two £1 rooms for two nights for my other half and the inlaws. Stayed Saturday and Sunday night - and had a really nice time.

Free WIFI, no telephone rip offs, quick and easy breakfast put in a bag by the door. Nice and comfortable bed and good shower.

This £1 deal was an excellent bargain - and this sort of marketing really does work. Next time I need to stay in London I'll be checking on the availability and prices for the Hoxton Hotel.

The staff were really friendly too and the attitude of the Hotel in general was excellent.

A great offer - thanks to MSE for bringing it to my attention.

also just like to add we took tube to old street to get there and found it confusing and not a nice station! but on the way back we decided to walk and its quicker than the tube if you go right out of hotel then follow down past car wash then right again into bisopsgate its 5 mins down there to liverpool strett and a pleasent walk ! hope that helps someone x

the busses around there are good too - one goes right to oxford circus (55 i think?) and another up to kings cross - much easier than the tube!

Old street is alright tho - not confusing if you read the signs!

On the off chance that anyone has a room booked for a date that they can no longer use, I will be happy to take it off your hand for the price you paid.

Stayed on the £1 deal the other night, fantastic bargain. Couldn't fault anything ( bit of noise from the courtyard but nothing major) -staff friendly ( they joked about the "expensive deal" but in a nice way and no pressure at all to buy anything else or eat on site etc.) They are currently doing £30 deals for Sundays in October and that would be well worth it, definitely. If you've still to stay I would really recommend the Hoxton Apprentice restaurant about 5 mins walk away - one of the featured restaurants on the Hoxton Hotel website http://www.hoxtonhotels.com/restaurants.php The food was excellent and I liked the idea of the charitable status of it too ( it felt a bit like Jamie Oliver's 15 but without the prices - the Apprentice was pretty reasonable value at night when we went but the lunchtime offer sounds superb - we just weren't there at the right time for that unfortunately! )
