I have managed to get these £1 promotion rooms 2 times out of the 3 times that they have done it and have had to really persist for a good half an hour trying so its not fake at all .Site oten seems to struggle with huge traffic at these time but you just persist.
Its not just hype at all(might be sour grapes though) it is a real offer that loads of us have managed to get.

We got a £29 and a £59 in the promotion before last.
Not as good as some people but and average of £44 per night is still a real bargain for the standard of accomodation.

And also, May be this was the perfect start Mr Taylor is looking for affiliating with MSE.
MSE is losing its credibility standing by this kinda fake promotions by word of mouth.

I was there last night in a £29 room that I got in the previous promotion and checked that the two £1 rooms my husband and I booked for Easter ( 1 each) were ok- they were. Both times it was a frustrating experience trying to book- the second time I got on suddenly after 20 minutes of awful internet booking. I understand the frustrations of the posters earlier but just because you didn't get through it doesn't mean it was fake.Honest.I hope they keep doing it as I am set to make it a regular feature of my life if I can.
It is a really nice place- I went with my 14 yr old daughter and we loved it, Went to see Patrick Stewart in the Tempest- fab- then this room; lovely. Other people have mentioned the left luggage; that was so handy.
I found it a bit tricky to get there from Old street station late at night- I'd recommend taking a blown up street map rather than attempting to negotiate a confusing layout of roads with a little A to Z. :o I think it was exit 6 from the station, which is under a massive roundabout, so if you get to the wrong exit it is a bit confusing.

Have just arrived back from the Hoxton and what a lovely time we had. £1.00 for the room and an extra £7.50 for movies. The weather was great we walked down to Tower Bridge. Then just stayed inthe room for the rest of the evening, lovely hotel no problems. Deffo go again.
  • I managed to get 2 of the £1 rooms for 10th April. We are taking inlaws to use their trip we bought them for christmas with tesco clubcard vouchers (£24 vouchers for trip for 2 on London Eye & Thames lunch cruise) Also got clubcard vouchers to use in Yates's for a meal - so all in all not too bad really! It's costing us more to travel there!

I would be careful as i may be wrong as i thought it was 1 £1 room per person .So if you turn up and say you have booked 2 £1 rooms one of you may be turned away. I might be wrong but best to check.

    officially not refundable, not transferable.

However many people sell travelodge room on ebay because it's all paid for and you don't need to provide ID.

Maybe others can comment on whether you need to provide id at the Hoxton (I suspect not).

I didn't need to provide ID or email confirmation, they just asked for my name.
