PO Homephone also offering free connection till 31/3/2012
See: http://www.postoffice.co.uk/broadband-phone/home-phone-broadband/home-phone-broadband-standard/getting-connected
Indirect access on www.18185.co.uk does currently work , but only BT have to allow access.
Er, what does that mean?.0 -
...and does switching to them in anyway affect my choice of broadband in the future?
I am with BE Broadband, if that's any help?
I guess BT own the line, I just pay rental to the Post Office instead?.

Rochdale Guy who are you with ATM?
A) You will only pay PO for line rental and phone usage. Not BT or anyone. You can transfer BE to your PO line without a hitch.

Thanks, but I knew that. It must be the way I word things, sorry! You can transfer BE to your PO line without a hitch.
What do you mean I can transfer BE to my PO line? Do I have to tell BE?
I thought I just let the PO switch me over to them, away from BT?
Why would I need to inform BE just cos they provide my broadband???.0 -
Do you get itemised billing, and can you check your "call log" online like with BT?.0
-
yes to both of your questions.
you can log into your account and see recent calls , they are sometimes a couple of days behind though
when you bill is produced go to your on-line account at mypostoffice.co.uk and you can see you bill with all the calls for that period.
the bills are really easy to understand unlike bt , who make them as hard as possible
hope that helps0 -
