Have decided to save £2 coins towards helping my situation, even if use it for treats now and then.

Still working on SOA, need my credit file before can do anything really. Have started to be more aware of my spending already though which is a good thing. Going to get a little notebook later to record my spendings.

Got debt collector round tonight for 1st payment for HSBC credit card, think owe abt £1000ish will get figure tonight when get payment card. Can only afford £5 at the moment though.

Selling on ebay too, things lying around and things I don't use.

Debt Collector called last night on behalf of HSBC C/C o/s bal £1372.95 after my payment of £5. Also had a letter from Westcot re T Mobile as owe them £84, this was due to them changing my plan and told me would be effective the following month but they changed it straight away, but I'd used the phone as normal to use my 300 minutes but of course as they'd changed it I was charged for most of the calls!! Grrrr Did argue with them but they stood their ground. Will write a letter to them to offer payment over few months as don't have £84 to clear debt. Also got car booked in for MOT on fri which will cost £40, hope it doesn't need any work doing as don't have the money. Tax is also due but Mum has agreed to lend me that money if goes thro MOT.

Need to think seriously about keeping my car, it is a luxury but I've paid that off myself and don't owe anything on it and fought to keep it for so long. It's my lifeline to getting out and about with my DD, would be stuck without it.

Keep looking for the postman in the mornings as want my credit file ASAP so I can start dealing with my debts.

Feeling positive about it all though, know will be a struggle but really want to get things paid off so I can have a future without debt hanging round my neck!

Bit worried tho as I put my addy on the credit file request and also the addy where I lived just under 5 years ago, worried the debts from there will now find me (not that I want to ignore them) but may have been 6 yrs since contact... will know more when CF arrives.

I'll feel better when I know how long it will take to be debt free and when I can expect my credit score will go back to normal so I can think about mortgages etc in the future. But no credit cards or loans!! lol

Hey Beanielou - yes I need to pay back some money that I'd borrowed from her account but realised not urgent so not going to worry for a while yet x

Why are there no £2 coins around??? lol

Have written a letter to the holiday company begging with them to refund my deposit, I know they won't but thought it's worth a try, the holiday isn't until 28/9 so they'll have plenty of time to re let it. Would be great if could get it, is £50 towards a debt. Still waiting (patiently) for my credit file. It's funny how my mind works now, before I'd hide all the letters etc but now I want them.

Need to sort out Westcot too for T mobile, owe them £84, think will write a letter to them to let them know I will be dealing with CCCS in the near future, or at least offer them a small payment each month.

Had a lovely day yesterday on the beach, is about half hour drive away but it's lovely. My DD loves playing on the sand. It wasn't all that cold either, the sun was warm. Just cost me the petrol to get down there.

It arrived this morning.... very confusing!!! It only shows 3 debts... 2 are CCJ's...eek and my T mobile contract.

I'm sure there is more than that but won't argue!!

    Total amout is £9741

    CCJ 1 - HSBC

    £4260 Oct 04

    CCJ 2 - HSBC

£1377 June 05 (This is the one the debt collector is calling about.

T Mobile - o/s £84 - have written to them to ask what their min payment is.

I didn't do the Experian report correctly so it missed off 2 of my addresses...grrr! So have ordered it again with all addresses on there! No wonder it didn't look like I've got much debt.

I'm already beginning to feel weighed down with it all.... hard to feel positive right now. My CCJ's are £6k alone, which will take forever to pay off.

Being DF seems an impossible dream right now.

Looking into working PT for 3 days a wk, need to make an appt with the lone parent advisor to see how much I'll have left over and what benefits (if any) I'll be entitled to.

one of my CCJ's comes off in 2010 (£4260) so I need to clear it before then so it comes off the record, the smaller one is 2011 (£1377) which I'm paying £25 a month.

Looking into college courses also so I can re-train, just not sure what yet...

Have opened an online savings account and the plan is to put everything extra I get from ebay/amazon sales etc into this account and use it every month or so to pay off a debt.

Plan for this week is -

Make an interview with Lone Parent Advisor re figures and going back to work.

[STRIKE]Make an interview with local college to see what courses are available to help me decide which direction to re-train in.[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Not spend any money unless I need to! [/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Try to get my old account number with HSBC to look into claiming back some charges.[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Send a letter to County Court to arrange monthly payment on my CCJ (gulp)[/STRIKE]

Am also going to keep my car providing the thing goes thro the MOT ok without anything needing doing to it but may take it off the road for a month to save some money. When it's on the road though I will have set days where I am not allowed to use it!!

Got few bits listed on ebay at the moment, some more things to go on, will list on Tues when half price listing day.

    That's all for now
