Just want to say don't worry about your DD.. I was a nursery nurse before I went on my maternity leave and I can honestly say every child that was upset as their parents dropped them off (sometimes hysterical) are normally always getting stuck in with their friends and laughing/smiling before you would've made it off the parking lot.
Glad you're enjoying work!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Thanks IA - that's reassuring to know. What makes it worse is since she's been going she keeps waking at night, crying out and I think she's having nightmares!!"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

The nightmares are all part of the adjustment process, they will pass but I know they are distressing for you to have to deal with.
How about giving your DD a "special place" in her imagination that she can create - somewhere that she can go to when she falls asleep. In this place nothing can upset her and she can deal with anything as she is in charge! My DD used to have nightmares as a very little girl and when we talked about it, she said that witches kept coming in. So I asked her what the witches were afraid of and she said strawberries and raspberries!! Then I got her to "invent" a farm in her mind where she could grow strawberries and raspberries and then if the witches came near she could throw the fruit at them and they would disappear!!
The farm has evolved over the years but DD still uses it if she is having a restless time because of school etc. Might be worth a go as it does work with really little ones well.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Tis a good idea... but my DD isn't talking yet. I do however sit with her now when she goes off to sleep (used to leave her to go to sleep alone) so she knows she can go off to sleep and not be alone.
Thanks for the tip though, will remember that."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Tell her stories about lovely things before she goes to bed if she is not talking and they will sink in and become lovely dreams when she is asleep.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Glad the job went well Tigz. As the others have said, don't worry about DD. I left both my children to return to work and as stated by I_A, once your out of sight they forget about you!0

:rotfl: Well my 1st week as a working girl went well. I love being back at work, love not having to watch CeeBies!!! :rotfl: The people I work with are really nice and it's a laid back office which is great. My last company was a big corporate company and was quite stressful. Saying that though being back at work has made me realise how much I loved my old job and I really miss it.
Money.... have paid minimum amounts this month, to HSBC.
I'll be getting 4 days wages from work on Monday, which will help pay the bills this month. Am awaiting my job bonus (£250) and reimbursement for the clothes I bought (£98) and also my 1st £40pw payment (going into my new Cahoot savings account - opened via Quidco for £25 cashback :T )
Had a letter from housing benefit this morning to say my claim has been suspended as they've been advised I'm no longer claiming IS and I have to fill out new forms etc... bit worried I won't receive the payment I'm expecting on Monday to pay the rent.... hope so as I don't have it.
Sad news - a close friend's sister died Thurs nite from Pneumonia, she would've been 35 on Monday - very sad.
Not much else to report - DD had a good day at nursery on friday."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke
