Making Cards - Ideas (part 6)

Hiya all! luverrly sunshine! Been in the glasshouses at work today, potting up tiny marigolds, better than doing accounts.
Padster, the font on MIL's card is Parisian BT free from here I love using it on vintage cards.
krackingtoast I use nice tissue paper that I've ironed :eek:and a piece of ribbon tied round it for awkward cards that wont fit in a box or envelope. I'll put it in one of those plastic mailing envelopes or recycle a jiffy bag with a stiff piece of cardboard so that it helps to keep its shape.
I found a good source of C6 envelopes at the post office £1.99 for 50, not sure how that compares with Ebay but then ..... no postage to pay for. If I unload some of my unwanted cards free to help support my village shop I'll use these envelopes but then I do put them in a cello bag as well. Its up to the shop whether they charge or ask for a donation. Mind you I do stamp the back with my name stamp. Must think about getting some of those teeny tiny labels that you pop on the back, one day!
forgot to say, I got my Calibur at the end of 2010 for £79.00, pre-order price from Oyster Crafts in Kent. It seems that there are places you can get it for £99.00 so, I suppose C & C's price of £134 with a couple of dies thrown in ain't too bad but...... (Says Wifey in her best tv presenter's voice) it is a considered purchase and it is best to shop around. This week's special on C & C Friday is Spellbinders, wonder what they will bring us. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
Thanks for your help! Will have a look at that ebay seller. Thanks!0

Thank you Wifey - will nip off and download it :c)
I haven't made hardly any cards for ages but there are some bags and purses now on my blobby :c)
PS house is not sitting over the public sewer - it runs under our drive so that was a great weight off my mind yesterdayOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Sorry I'm asking for help again.:(
My 10yr old grandaughter was playing on my computer and today I've tried to copy some digis in word and they're all peculiar:(
I copy them ,do a couple then right click >text wrap>tight and I could always put them just where I wanted now they flip all over the place and when I print preview they're in the wrong places
Does anyone of you clever folk know how I could re set it ?
I'm trying to make a couple of easter cards and I'm chewin'me knuckles :mad:0 -

Not sure if it will work for you but when I want to resize and move pictures about on a page in word, I click on the picture (so the square around it appears) then right click text wrap, but I always choose in front of text, and then I am able to move the picture around the page. Maybe this would work for you?2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -

Hi peeps!!!
Thanks for your comments on die cutting, i've been thinking about getting one for the last couple of weeks, first thought i would get a cuttlebug, then decided on the big shot, from a comment from one of the users, its the dies not the machine, and for me the big shot seems sturdier as the cuttlebug has "flaps" down and knowing clumsy me, i'll break it :S
anyway i googled and found one relatively good price and also notice it went via quidco got cashback and 10% discount too from craftsuperstore!!! so well chuffed.
if you spend 60 quid you get 10% if over 40 quid (i think) you get 5%.... so if you're going to spend some pennies on crafty stuff, might worth checking the prices there!0
