Yeah, me again with questions. I watch Create and Craft and wonder about envelopes for the big/ odd shaped cards they make. Where do I get these big envelopes? or crafters make them somehow? And how about posting, especially the decoupage. Sorry for sounding simple.
    Thanks

I don't tend to make odd shaped cards! I have got something that helps me make box envelopes for the thicker cards I make - all those embellishments can make them hard to fit in a normal envelope! Someone here mentioned that they just wrap the card with tissue and tie a bow round it, which I think is lovely and a lot less hassle than box envelopes!

If I'm posting something with a lot of embellishments which I'm worried about getting damaged, I will put it in a jiffy bag just to be on the safe side.

I am now waiting for the delivery of a big shot. Hope it comes soon so I can get cracking on some ideas. Thanks for all of your advice xx
  • Hello there, newbie here!
I was asking about envelopes on the Bargain Buys board and was kindly pointed to this thread, hope you don't mind me asking a question!
Can recommend anywhere to buy cheap (but not cheap looking) envelopes from?
I have been making greetings cards from my photography and have my first craft fair booked in a couple of weeks and haven't got any envelopes yet! My cards are all A6 in size.
I have spent ages looking about the internet and every time I find some within my budget it excludes VAT or has a big postage charge!

Thanks in advance for any advice!:)

    Hiya Krackingtoast.

Ebay would probably be your best bet to be honest. One of the other ladies might be able to suggest something better though!

Strangely enough - I don't usually make A6 cards but have started recently to use my cardstock up - I got some decent envelopes from this eBay seller - she does lots of quantities and quick delivery - I bought DST and cellophane bags at the same time to save on postage - squeak :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Welcome to all the newbies, sorry can't help with the envelope question, I do sometimes buy bigger ones from Wilkos and stick cards in that although it isn't very pretty looking
