Making Cards - Ideas (part 6)

Hi Ladies I was after a little advice please. I am wanting to buy a die cutting machine but do they cut fabric as well. Where is the best/cheapest place to buy dies from. Many thanks in advance
I went for a cuttlebug when I bought my first machine as I didn't want to pay a load of money for one. I've had it for about 18 months now and it's still going strong, so I would recommend it as a starter machine. I've not felt the need to upgrade to one that does bigger dies yet
I buy most of my dies from Ebay (for my Nesties) but use a variety of online craft shops too. Lothian Crafts did me a really good price recently on some Marianne dies. I am also a member of a couple of craft selling groups on Facebook and you can pick up some real bargains that way too
No idea about fabric cutting though, sorry!0 -

Looking for some advice, I want to set up a monthly crafty get together so that it gives people somewhere to craft and meet new people, has anyone done this and do you have any tips.

Afternoon ladies
I am sorely tempted by the Hunkydory blockbuster on Ideal World but deep down I know it's not very MSE although I am determined to make as many cards for birthdays etc this year (apart from hubby's, Mum's etc). Not sure if it's worth joining the club to get the triple discount offer on the item.

Emma, it's a brilliant price for all that you get in this big kit but it will cost you all together £45.00 altogether, cost of the kit and membership fee of £20 to join the club but you will get £10 credit in your account. Join first though. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0

Carol, you can use some of the Grand Nesties but you have to consider whether it's worth paying all that money, roughly £35, for the ones that are too big for your machine. I've had a Cuttlebug, Big Shot, and a Wizard but do use my Grand Calibur all the time now. It's been my favourite so far but all the others are worth buying, it really comes down to it being a considered purchase. (Ooo! I sound like a C&C tv presenter!!)
:D
