Hi all, I have not posted on this thread for ages and ages! Life has been hectic, still making cards though, I could never give that up. I did think about selling all my stuff last year when I felt I could do with more space in our bedroom and I found a facebook craft selling group, sold some of my stuff but also bought new stuff and rekindled my love for making cards with new stamps etc. so still a cramped bedroom full of my cardmaking desk and stuff!! :rotfl:

Looking forward to have a nosy around the thread and seeing what you have all been up to.

I also wanted to ask, can anyone tell me how to put a watermark on my card pictures please? Is a program that I need to buy? I don't have photoshop, only "paint" on my computer.

re watermarks it's normally done in your photo editing software - I use gimp which is free and made my own watermarks then open them as another layer and put it on top of my pictures. I'm not really good at explaining things but am sure you can find a tutorial on google for whichever software you have :p

If you want a simple worded one done like name and blog address give me a shout and I'll do one for you - I did one for wifey a while back and did the ones I use for my non DT stuff
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Ooohhh Liza, keep the snow please I don't want it ;-)

Hi mumoftwo . I also use Gimp for adding watermarks, it is really easy to use (if it wasn't I wouldn't be able to do it ;)). There's a fab tutorial on how to use it here.

My monkeys are staying at my mum and dad's tonight so I intend to have a lie in and read some of my book in the morning  Then I may think about tackling some of the cleaning before going to pick them up in the afternoon. I've got yuck stuff to do - oven, cupboard fronts etc :(

We're off to Cromer for the Easter weekend, DS1 is playing in a rugby festival. Hoping the weather improves...

Thank you, I have downloaded Gimp, now what? I need to make a watermark first before I can layer it on top of my photo, do I understand that right? I watched the tutorial but kids nipping at my head, so will play later.

:hello: mum of two, good to see you back.

Cromer, rainmac! have you been before? Take plenty of warm clothes 'cos it can be a tad windy there. Me 'n OH had a smashing crab lunch in a lovely pub almost on the beach where the boats come in. Not sure if it's still there. There's also a Jarrolds for some craft stuff.

I'm naughty 'cos I keep forgetting to put my water mark on, slap wrists!
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

Your right about warm clothes The Wife can be a tad cold my Dad used to own a Cafe on the seafront near where the fishing boats bought the crabs in and I spent many an hour in Jarrolds looking at all the lovely things.
