House Mouse stamps I bought from Ebay last week. Or the two I bought at the SECC - still not even been inked.

Hahahaha! I think that pretty much covers ALL the stuff in my craftroom :rotfl: But I think for me it means using that ribbon I bought from Lidls - went in for one roll and left with, well more than 1 roll!! :rotfl:0

Oh, a challenge, that is great. What do I do? Make a card obviously and then what? post it on here or on a blog?
Had to have it? and not used it... I will have to have a nosey through the many drawers I have full of stuff.
Does that count for equipment as well?0 -

It's whatever you want it to be!
You can post a card here or on your blog, just post here to let me know it's there.
Challenge will run for two weeks, so I'll pick a winner on Friday 20th.0 -

Here is my challenge card: my "had to have it" item was my gem template and the blue felt. When Hobbycraft first opened here and the first time I went I saw the gem template and thought what a great idea that was and I had to have it, needless to say, it has been in its packaging since, until today, I also bought lots of different colours of felt because the colours were so pretty and stuck in a drawer
Thanks for the challenge!0 -
fab card mumoftwo - I need one of those gem templates for the swirls they look great on cards and I'm rubbish at lining them up - and maybe I could then use the 1000s of loose gems I happen to have LOL!Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Squeeee!! Myz and CG on the same day, :hello: both! Good to see you both here.
Well, FF, your challenge covers a multitude of stuff, I wonder if I could get it all on one card, if I did I don't want to think about how much it would cost to post. i've got about 15 Sweet Pea stamps to choose from besides House Mouse. Of course, it's an investment for when I retire. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
I keep seeing embossing on card sites etc and having seen a quick you tube video it looks easy - how many of you use embossing on your cards and is it as easy as it looks? I've only just started card making so still learning.
Do i just need a stamp pad, stamps, embossing powder and heat gun? Is there anywhere best online to purchase from. Mad about cards is down at the moment as I know lots like that site.0 -
Myz, lovely to 'see' you here lady xxx
artydoll, great news about your son, got everything crossed for his next check up x
Congrats Flyin', fantastic challenge, will have a look through my stash when I get back x
mumoftwo, love your card, that image is so cute and the addition of felt gives a fab extra texture and dimension. The gems look great too x
Hi DaisyFlower, there are two types of embossing - dry and heat (I think). I don't do heat embossing but here's a tutorial on how to do it. Dry embossing (think that's what it's called) is when you use embossing folders or templates etc to raise sections of a piece of paper, like this or this. HTH x
My stash ban is well and truly overI ordered some paper and dies the other day and then yesterday caved in and ordered the Spring Promarkers after seeing Louise's fab Teddy Bo's on Facebook and some Saturated Canary images with a 40% off code and some Pink Gem digis too. Hoping to have some fun with them in my second week off next week. I have now been back at work for 6 months so felt like treating myself
I did an awful thing, I forgot to pack my son's most treasured teddyGod knows how I forgot, just hope he was so caught up in the staying away from home and being with his friends that he didn't give Scooby a second thought. Best go, we're off to Cromer in about half an hour...oh we do like to be beside the seaside...
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0
