So, I've been doing some investigating and reading and it seems to me my first big investment would need to be a die cutter...am I right? ;)

I was looking at the Big Shot. Can anyone recommend?

    Thanks

Hi Helen There are a few on here who have the Big Shot and they are very pleased with it, there is also the Grand Calibur which takes the big dies for boxes etc that seems to be in Vogue at the mo, or there is the Cuttlebug which is smaller and folds easy for storing and then there are the electronic ones, it depends how much you want to spend.

    Thanks flourgirl.

Some of them look really pricey! I'm sure they're worth it but I want to see if I'm going to be any good at this before spending too much ;)

Would love to hear any comparisons of cuttlebug vs big shot (these seem to be the two cheaper options....?)

Hi Helen welcome to the thread I have a cuttlebug and love it I think the main difference between the cuttlebug and the bigshot is the size as the cuttlebug folds up making it much smaller to store I'm sure there will be some other along later to give you more information

Hi Helen I have a cuttlebug too and love it although those with a big shot will tell you they love that too I guess it depends on storage, I would love a grand caliber but it is the price of the big dies that has had put me off, luckily it seems to be out of stock most places too!

Well my car has failed it's MOT it is only 3 years old, needs two new tyres, that is me poorer by over three hundred pounds  still I have an A5 to play with, I love it and as my car won't be ready until tomorrow I am going to work on OH tonight to persuade him we need one :D although they are a lot out of my price range but I can dream

Ouch! Good luck working on your OH ;)

I fell off the stash ban wagon and bought one of the new special edition Tildas (much cheaper at The Glitterpot than anywhere else), some paper and a Penny Black stamp. Spent £20 inc. p&p and received £10 from Quidco so I only spent a tenner really... :D
