FF Well done on your win

Rainmac hope you enjoy your car

Rusty I would Love you to make my cards (horrid things) but it is for my Dad and OH so would feel guilty if I didn't make them, it's not the cards really it's the fact I have no suitable images have finished one off. Don't feel bad about turning 30 believe me I am turning forty this year  I swear I am still twenty in my mind ;)

It's freezing here, bit disappointed none of my orders have arrived was hoping to have a play, going to finish some cards and try and comment on blobs

Can you PM me your email addy please ;)

Sally :waves: Sorry to hear about your mum, lovely to see you back here :)

Thrifty :j lovely to see you, hope you are well and we will see you here soon :D

Mary :j :j lovely to see you here too!!! Surely all the pills your OH is on wont help his stomach pains!! ...Hope you got a good outcome to your complaint!

Padster - I hope you refused to talk to your OH!

Keza - Welcome to the madhouse :)

Artydoll - Why does it take so long? do you have to stay there for a while after your treatment? or do they just let you go? Sorry to ask questions but what happens after your last visit?

Marg - Hope you are having a better day today!

FF - I go through phases like that ... my box has a handful of cards in ... but then this morning I was working on next weeks DT card for LCI and I decided it would look good when finished so made 2 nearly identical! :D both for the box!

Retiredandskint - Welcome to the madhouse, with regards to your glues, I used to only use double sided tape, but now I use a wet PVA glue, I have a small bottle (This is a good one) and I keep it full with PVA, it has a very fine tip so comes out in small amounts. It gives you a few seconds to move things about into place and then when it dries it also gives more stability to your card! I try and keep it a few mm away from the very edge so when I press it down the glue spreads to the edges. The tip is to not use a lot, and by doing so things dont tend to warp. If they do then put them under a heavy book or cutting mat until dry and they will be fine :)

    Happy belated birthday Tomsmum! xx

FF I use glossy accents for nearly everything .... especially when the kids toys break!! ... I have used it to stick lego together, to stick an arm back on a disney beast doll and yesterday I used it to stick the top step back onto the staircase of the dolls house! LOL

Louby - They should still go back onto the laptop providing they havent been snapped, its weird to explain but they go on a similar way to a keyboard, keep trying if you can. As for the dried up pot pourri, you could buy some essence and make it smell again!

  • Afternoon - have no idea what I just read - but I've found a bottle of Anitas tacky Glue in my stash that I'm gonna give a try if I ever buy any of "them flowers" :c)

    I've calmed down today (a bit) :D
Hire car eventually turned up at 5:45!!!! and the guy who delivered it was so patronising he nearly got punched :rotfl: Could I manage with it, it was brand new, it has only done 17 miles de da de da de da - and what was it????? A peugeot 207 :rotfl::rotfl: OH has been referring to it as the Noddy car although it's black :D He allegedly may have had a cig in his mouth but he didn't light it - hmmmm my backside!

I also fell out with my mother yesterday as she thinks that I have nothing better to do at 8:32 every Monday - after she rang 4 times I was a little short - we were all sat in the dark watching a film making the most of OH being home for a change.

DD has just text me to pick her up from school as she's staying for netball but doesn't know what time!!!!! I'm a tad fed up of being at everyone's beck and call :rotfl::rotfl:

Least I have the telly buttons back tonight - masterchef here I come LOL

PS RAKS have been posted :c)

    Well Done Ali:j

Padster - if it's any consolation you aren't on your own having a pants time at the moment -

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse we've been told our work email address has compromised the cloud server, work emails are now blocked and because I sometimes work from home my PC may also be compromised by some virus or other. I am ultra cautious with every precaution I can have. It all sounds very expensive & the firm can't really afford huge sums just at the moment......... I'm hoping that I can get my home PC checked out very quickly but if I go AWOL for a little while you know why. DH will be delighted - he can't understand my addiction.

Well done on winning the challenge Ali :D

I received some new charms in the post today - teeny keys, teeny teapots and some sailing-themed ones.

Once I've *deep breath* tidied the living room, made soup and cooked a chicken I'm off to the craft room. I'm tired just thinking about it! :rotfl:

Yay!! Doing happy dance - I thought I only had bad luck lately :-( , thank you Padster. (By the way hope you kicked your oh up the booty for smokin in you Audi!!!). Of to think about the next challenge!!
    Artydoll -glad you are ok
Marg - that all sounds very technical - hope things are ok xx

Okay erm... for the challenge as its getting near Valentings day - LOVE, BUT it doesnt have to be a valentine card - it could just be a card made with something you love i.e. your favouritist paper or an image you love - iykwim. What do you think about this ending on Fri 10th Feb - or is that too soon???
  • Ali - great challenge does that mean I have to cut some of the papers that I only usually stroke :rotfl: - the only person I love at the moment is the cat :p - I sniffed my car this afternoon when I went to pick DD up from netball and it smelt fine although not so good by the time a sweaty 11 year old had been in it for 15 mins :rotfl::rotfl:

Revenge was sweet this morning seeing him squeeze himself into that little car to go to Scotland. My mother has told me that if I'd answered the phone the first time she wouldn't have kept ringing - didn't seem to understand that I didn't answer coz I was busy

Marg - that sounds a bit of a worry don't they have a firewall sorted to protect against that kind of stuff???
