Happy belated birthday to Tomsmum - I did send you a wee card but I think I may have sent it too late, sorry :o

I'm about to head into the craft room (with a massive jumper on as it's the coldest room in the house) to make some pretty things. I'm getting to the stage where I have more cards than occasions!

Lucky you - Wish I had!:o - Mind you after the day I've had I may soon have more time on my hands........

Hope you're okay Marg - sending you a massive hug!

I too am none to happy as after a long abscence from exercise (accident, illness, work etc) I finally was ready to get back to it only to sit in a cold exercise studio for 10mins before any member of staff came to tell us that the class had been cancelled!!! Not to mention the mad dash back from work and the 20mins spent trying to find a parking space!

Too wound up to craft now so will decompress online instead :)
  • Hi Carders, I'm new to this thread although not to MSE  thanks to FF for pointing me in the right direction.

I need help. Any suggestions on what glue to use that will enable me to jiggle me bits about but will then hold firm.

I've found the squeezy wet glue warps the card and double sided tape holds to firm to allow for adjustment.

I use Anita's tacky glue which I swear by, it will warp the card if you use too much but you only need a tiny amount to stick card and paper and it gives you that precious few seconds to re-adjust if it's wonky ;) I also use it to stick buttons, flowers etc. HTH and big welcome to the thread x

retiredandskint - welcome! you might be even more skint coming on here but we do try to be economical sometimes - honest!:) I'm another who uses Anita's Tacky Glue, just a tiny thread of it works fine. DST 'grabs' too quick for me.

Thank you for your kind thoughts, I'm feeling a bit better after some chocolate & wine have given a sense of proportion to the days events - there are worse things happening out there.

I use Glossy Accents instead of glue...mainly for embellishments though :D

Latest card is on my blog (I really like this one too :))
  • Snap FF, I've just made an easel card, not as good as yours though :o It's the one that I've had the most problems with trying to get things to stay stuck

Thanks by the way for info on glue. I did wonder whether to buy a glue gun.
