because you have no challenge there. No ambition. No goals you are working towards.

Have you a 'wish list' you can work towards? Anything you've 'always wanted to do?'

    Never.

I don't understand boredom as a whole. I can understand a task being boring, but not everything.

I agree with Seanymph about you needing a challenge. I have new hobbies all the time. In the past two years I've taught myself lots of crafts, my current hobbies are cooking and jigsaws.

When I'm bored with those I'll do something else!

Mainly because life is pretty boring. I like boring though. It's stressful and full of misery that gets me. Find pleasure in the little things. Exciting is over-rated.

One other thing... are you bored or unfulfilled? There's a difference...

I guess the bright side to boredom is at least you have stability. I used to have quite an unstable life, I moved around a lot, both geographically and my jobs (I was a contractor), lots of new friends/ dates etc but although I wasn't bored, I wasn't happy. Too much stress and change - I was a real change junkie but it got too much.
Now I am older and a little more settled, permanent job, permanent relationship and family, live near some friends I've known for years, don't go out much (have a baby), and I love the stability and permanence.
What I'm trying to say is, maybe the grass ain't greener. Be glad that you are bored!
