BB- sorry that baby is breach
whats a moxibustion?! re the birth plan- could you not just write one anyway for a natural birth just in case the turning thing works? and if it doesn't write one for your planned c section? I'm sure people do write them, ie once baby is born who would like first cuddle you or oh? etc etc? xxx

Hi. I didn't even know I was in labour until I was told 5cm dilated! Went to the loo, wiped, pink discharge, went up to change - waters broke. Called hospital, they told us to come in. Still no real pain, a bit something in the back. Doctor didn't examine me a first as no pains and with broken waters wanted to reduce risk of infection. Babies fine, not distressed at all. Monitors were removed, I was given the first dose of steroids, and left to rest. 3 hours later a bit more pain, monitors back on, examined - 5cm!! No reason for it, they were not distressed at all.
I am in horrid pain from my stitches! I can't take anymore painkillers for a few hours, as already took loads (paracetamol, codeine, voltarol). Can't sit down anymore today, can't stand up. When I am up on my feet I am in such odd shape, that my neck, lower back and shoulders hurt! I am going for check up tomorrow, hope i can get some advice what to do. If they decide to restitch them,I hope I don't have to stay in hospital again - too much to do at home.
Cool Sanitary Pads in the freezer or buy some femepads from Boots/Mothercare. They dont tend to re-stitch but make sure that there is no infection! Also practice your pelvic floor exercises (even though you wont feel them) as it encourages blood supply to the area and make sure your diet is good with fresh fruit and veg which will also help number twos so not straining xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

During the day when I'm moving around doing chores and stuff it's often colder). I couldn't bear it warmer than that. You go to some people's house and it's boiling!
i can't stand a hot houseIf i'm feeling chilly I'll wear a jumper or grab a blanket! when I could actually do chores lol, Id need it to be cool! and even at night now when it IS cool, I have to have the window open and no covers due to hot sweats with the pregnancy hormones! I wake up soaked some nights!

((hugs)) BB, had never heard of Moxibustion before so just had to google it
I have known since the beginning I will be having an elective this time round (and next time if there is one!)... I am the complete opposite of most of you ladies in that I am more scared about LO trying to make an appearance before the booked date and me having to try natural again
I hope that your bubs turns and you get the birth you want0 -
Our cot's currently against the window - lots of room for it to get moved around but kind of limited if we don't want it against the party wall (and since the lad in the room on the other side of the wall works shifts - we'd rather avoid that)... think I can move things around a bit so it's in the middle of the room - but leaving it at present since the cot's likely going to end up in our room for a while when she outgrows the moses basket anyway.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

I'm far too much of a sceptic to believe this kind of thing, but each to their own"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
A question about post-birth if I may, ladies.
Maternity pads? What are they all about? Can you not just use heavy-duty jamrags?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Fluffnutter- The type of blood that you lose after a baby is erm... not pleasant..
there's lots of clots and "normal" sanitry wear just doesn't "contain" all the contents (yes that is vomit worthy) In fact with dd2 the clots wear soooo big i had to wear 2 pads at a time overlapping so it didnt run down my leg barf
