Good morning
Happy I had a shock last night after I decided to see what my weight had been doing since becoming pregnant. My friend lost weight and had a low birth weight baby so wanted to make sure I'd put something on. I wasn't a happy bunny though - I've put on 7kg so over a stone with 8 weeks left to go. I've never really watched my weight but I've never weighed so much so was shocked. My OH calmed me down and told me to not be silly as I am pregnant so have the weight of baby and associated stuff to carry about. I guess this is another reason to breastfeed
My pregnancy app said average is 10lbs in forst 20 wks and then 1lb per week after that. So at 32 wks you'd be 22lbs
So you're in the perfectly normal range! Me: I'm 8wks left too and at 28lbs put on.
Question!
Does anyone know if its okay to take Bach's Rescue Remedy during pregnancy?
Just got word yesterday to say I've got through the initial sift of a Promotion Board at work (I work for the government) and so I'll have an assessment centre within the next 3 weeks.
These promotion boards only come up about every three years so I went for it. 788 applied and only 170 got through to the assessment centre and only 50 wll get a 'ticket' which you get for a year which will allow you to apply for a promoted post as and when they come up.
If I get it - which I doubt but I wanna try as good pay rise! - I then have to do a semi formal interview for any promoted post that i see and want to apply for. HR have informally said I could have the ticket for more than a year if it came to it given my mat leave and that any post I applied for while on mat leave couldn't say no to me if I was the best person who applied and I wanted to start x months later due to me wanting to take my entitled year off.
So now need to get organised for the assessement centre but I get super nervous and stressed at stuff like this and normally Rescue Remedy is my saviour!0 -
Hi all
With regards kicks my LO had a real routine and we could almost pinpoint when he would start kicking 9.00pm at night a firm favourite. I would have called the midwife if he broke the routine not if he didn't kick 10 times
See still can't move over to mummies board!

Sorry Kelda, I don't know the answer. I had a quick look on their website and it says to check with your doctor/midwife.
Good luck with your assessment though

Jovi - I was in for 6 days in total. The food was horrendous. I don't know how they expect you to sustain yourself!!DS1 born June 2000

Eek! I guess the food there hasn't improved since I was in with DS then; I ended up bribing family to bring me butties in last timeI am hoping to be out within 2 days - last time was 3 days and I spent the whole time asking everyone in a uniform when I would be released - I think they let me go in the end just to shut me up :rotfl:

I hated the food when I was stuck in hospital for 2.5 weeks 6 and half years ago. I felt sick the whole time and all I wanted was dry things like toast and instead they served slop that they were trying to pass off as Shepherds Pie. When I was in for a day in October after my mc the food was still just as disgusting!

They tried to tell me they had given me cheese and onion quiche one day. I think trades description should have been called.
Tell you what ladies, the heartburn goes pretty much straight away. I'm elated to not have that sickly feeling every day.
Emsbet - I quite often slept on my right and MW said it was fine. I tried where possible to keep on my left but my hips were just too bad and I'd have ended up permanently awake.DS1 born June 2000

Have a nice shopping trip LMM. I'm painting more doors today. Also got to wash the bedding for the spare room ready for our relay of visitors at the weekend.
I'm wondering about the sleeping on your left side advice. I'm trying as much as possible to sleep on my left side but my hips are so sore that I can't go all night without turning over. I'm trying to do most of the night lying on my left then a couple of hours on my right but I feel guilty especially as I lie on my right when I lie on the sofa. What's everyone else doing?
xx
But yea I tend to do 2 hours one side 2 the other and if both hips are mega painful then i sleep sitting up with about 5 pillows LOL :rotfl:0
