  • Emsbet, if you know when you and ikkle are both due, why not make a subtle amendment to the list to add both to the list at the same time? And then you're both being added together.

Actually, on second thoughts, don't. That'll mean that we'll move up the list. cos every time you update it, we move up. I was at 55 last week...!

    Hi all

Haven't logged in for an age, but have caught up on news. Congrats to all the new mums (and cute pics Snoopy and Lovecrafting)

I am bound to not remember everything as there have been pages and pages since I last posted, but just thought I would say wowsers for Happy - I am loving the posting from the maternity ward. This is like our own real time episode of OBEM :D:eek::D

My blood tests came back normal on the sugar front so must have been a blip. I am feeling much better anyway and have recovered from a nasty throat and cold (just in time to go back to work :A) over Easter.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Fingers crossed for Dizzi too.

Please can someone inject me with something?? I can't stop crying today! I cried when I thought about premature babies. And I cried when little lady was kicking me. I'm crying because i'm pregnant LOL. I just love with pregnant and feel sooo lucky to have this when I never thought I would. And guess just scared something wrong will happen too. Yesterday I was sooo drepressed all day. Wanted to come on and agree with Emsbet that I was feeling low too but didn't want to bring everyone else down. Man this is such an emotional journey!

Is the 32 week scan a private one? Do you mind me asking how much if it is? Just interested :) Bet you are really looking forward to it!

    Txxx

Sorry I've no idea how much a private scan would be, this is going to be another NHS one. I take anti-epileptic medication and was told before I got pregnant I'd have a scan at 12,20 & 28 weeks but no more if baby's growth was OK. So I was quite surprised when they automatically booked one at 32 weeks at my 28 week scan as baby's measurements were spot on.

I am looking forward to it :) but despite knowing it'll be OK because all the others have been fine and baby is permanently wiggling now I'm always a bit nervous because the scan is a medical screening tool and the NHS exactly aren't known for wasting money on unnecessary tests.
Seeing my obstetrician afterwards so if there is a problem I'll be able to discuss it straightaway but it's more likely everything will be fine. :)

I just put my dressing gown on and made a dash for it. Collared the midwife and she is on her way with drugs. Thank the lord. I'm not a lover of pain x
I think one of those men is the babies father ... but she doesn't know which ... so they all have to be there!! :rotfl:

Hehe...maybe Jeremy Kyle will come in with a camera crew in a minute!!

Hugs RebekahHaving a bit of a down day too, not sure why. Think it's just been a busy weekend and maybe I'm over tired? I've nothing really to be sad about, so feel daft saying it out loud

I am sure we all have days like that. I cried the other night when I was handing over a half-eaten dessert to Mr L for him to finish off and he accidently knocked the whole lot onto the floor. Why that set me off I have no idea :p. I am not one to show my emotions or suffer from "hormones" or anything like that usually, but being preggers does make even me more susceptible to funny moods/teary episodes (though thankfully they are few and far between). I just think, ah well, if I wasn't preggers, I wouldn't be having mood swings etc (and that cheers me up :o).

Triangle - I looked into private scans before. At straightforward scan will probably set you back around £90 (I had one at 8 weeks as I couldn't wait). I did think about a further private one after the 20 week one but "happily" they have called me back for a scan at 34 weeks on the NHS as they thought my placenta was low-lying at my 20 week scan (and if it doesn't move I will need a c-section). I am not worried about the c-section possibility as I just think it is beyond my control so I shouldn't worry about it, but rather looking forward to seeing the boy before he makes a proper appearance.

I would definitely have been tempted with a private 3d/4d scan though (region of £130 I think they were when I was researching).

Triangle I've had two private scans, the first as the NHS scan date was going to be when I was over 14 weeks and I was inpatient which was just a dating scan. That was £60 and included a photo.
Then I had the gender scan on Saturday and that was £80 with a pic and a keyring :) I like things that are "free" lol. Both came with a free 4d preview, so a few mins of 4d scanning.
If I had the money I'd love a scan every week :)

You can get vouchers for 3d/4d scans. my friend got one from Groupon for £99 to go to London for hers with pics and DVD normally is £250. But I have seen cheaper ones outside of London. It's a bit early for me to have one yet, but they're just amazing. :D

I'm 37+4, the text messages have started already, now I can understand friends who haven't had kids texting, but surely those who have know that it will get frustrating if they're starting to ask if I've had the baby yet already?!

Saw a work related piece of news on the TV, had to remind myself not to make a note - it's been lovely to tell people I'm on my first day of maternity leave (and wearing sweat pants all day has been pretty awesome too) :D

Will keep popping on for updates from the labour ward, we're rooting for you Happy :p
