I'm still here ladies. Callum just brought me a box of celebrations so I had to take a bit of time to eat them!!!

Getting contractions about every 6 minutes or so at the moment but I'm trying to remain calm. This feels so crazily surreal.

I'm thinking of trying to persuade DH to let me use the heart monitor later. Not sure if it's a good idea or not...

Emsbet - I used my doppler after my mc last year and I did find it reassuring. The chances of you finding the heartbeat are good at 18 weeks so maybe it would put your mind at rest but you do have to balance it with how you would feel if you couldnt. It took me a few goes and it didnt panic me but If it would you then I would think about it before you do it.

I also hope dizzi is ok.

I know that's where the problem lies, I think I would panic if I couldn't find it. But at the same time I'd be so relaxed if I did, all this stress can't be good for LO. I *think* I may have felt a bit of movement just now.

Yay for movement. Try eating a box of ice lollies that's what I resorted too!!! Freeze the baby out if it's comfort!

I think it was anyway. Not a bubble popping this time but something moving around on my left side. Can't think what else it would be so I'm going to assume that was it to make myself feel better.

How are those contractions now?

I think you can safely assume it's your little wriggler Emsbet unless your insides like to dance normally!!!!

They are ouchy. And a midwife hasn't been near me for a couple of hours and could really do with some painkillers or something. I'm on my own at the moment and there's a lady in the bed opposite who has about 5 men round it so don't really want to go walking about with my skirt sheet and waters dripping everywhere infront of them. I don't know how to get hold of her!!!!
