Hi mishka
We found out we are having a boy also and I am rubbish with secrets so we told people;saying that the nursery and clothes drawers would have been a giveaway. People say what if they got it wrong and its a girl - well she better like blue then
Maybe you got say that until you tell your boys then you don't want anyone else to know might throw them off asking for a while. As for clothes etc from other people you could say to them to hold off giving you anything until baby is born or that you don't have room for more stuff at the momentTwenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Have sent a couple of you friend requests, i'm Lisa B and my profile pic is me on my wedding day.
Very tired, have hardly moved from the sofa all day, the only things I've moved for are toilet visits and food!!! Did manage to find enough energy to make a proper tea and also made a fruit salad so that makes up for the choc a bit lol!0 -
Thanks, I really think telling them we dont know is the best way, my eldest son blabs everything so not a chance we will tell him :rotfl:
If I plead ignorance with friends at least they wont keep asking i suppose !Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -

That's a good plan.
And if you want to change your mind later on then that's your prerogative.

evening all, hope you're all ok. ((hugs)) to those who are over-due and impatient! I can't imagine how frustrating it must be - and especially not helped by those texts...!
Thanks emmy for the update on lovecrafting, hope they're doing ok and that isla can go home soon.
mishka - could you just tell people that you don't know whether it's a boy or a girl? We chose not to find out, but my mum keeps accusing me of knowing and just not telling her...!!!!!!!
My loft conversion is going quite well, they're 3 weeks in and progress is as I'd expect at this stage (hoping to finish in 7-8 weeks), so that's cool. Going to have a lot of decorating to do during my maternity leave, though! I'm finishing at 36 weeks, am 30 weeks tomorrow...eek! Can't wait to finish work, it's been so stressful the past few days, been making me feel quite ill
Can't decide whether or not to join in on the FB front... like Mishka, I haven't announced my pregnancy on FB, so not sure. Having said that, I am very nosy and would love to spy on you all...!

WW2BR - the blame for this list business lies firmly at Emsbets door. She has a habit of moving people up the list willy nilly. Although, to be fair, she does it to herself aswell!!!!!
How is your wife feeling?
Lisa - I must admit these last few weeks are tiring. I'm wishing I had a downstairs toilet cos Im sure my stairs are getting steeper and longer. Think it's a bit old fashioned to get a chamber pot.DS1 born June 2000

Happy not only old fashioned but probably down right dangerous in our condition how would you get back up off it also I would need a reinforced one.
Not sure your 11yo should be expected to help mum up off her chamber pot,and what happens if you get stuck on it

Triangle, I quickly read through last pages, but haven't noticed the answer to your question about the mattress covers. I got maternity mats from Boots:

I got one on my bed now, the rest are in my hospital bag easily accessed if needed.
Got home from meeting my friend. Absolutely knackered. And haven't even done much shopping!!! Had a nice pizza though, and a cake at the end!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Hi BB - glad the loft is still going well. The thought of all that decorating would put me in a spin.
Glimmer - yes that could be a step too far for my little lamb. When he came with me to the MW yesterday he was horrified I'd been walking around with pee in my pocket so best leave it at that for now.DS1 born June 2000
