Oh and whoever asked about the matress, yes it was me that ordered the Rochingham one. It has been delivered but to my parents' house as my dad is in all the time so I haven't seen it yet. I won't be able to have a look and let you know what it's like until the weekend. Not sure when the boots offer finishes.

I have 2 hotmilk ones. i got the first one in Debenham's sale then onece I knew that I'd guessed at the right size I looked on Ebay and found that figleaves have an outlet store on there so I got another from them. I really like them as they're comfy and practical but don't look like something your granny would wear! Infact they're much prettier than my the bras I normally have for everyday use, pretty ones usually get saved for going out or treating DH lol!

I got my first maternity bra from Bravissimo, as nowhere else I could find my size! (was 32J pre pregnancy). It was ok, but something that your granny would love! But then - all my bras are boring, as with the size I need, I always had to compromise, they were expensive enough! I looked around online, and ordered three hotmilk ones to test, in different sizes. I kept two - 34H and 36H. I was only going to keep one, but they were so comfy and pretty, I couldn't resist. They both fit fine, and how so many hooks at the back, that I hope I won't need a new bra for a long while! And, as they are nursing bras, I hope they will last me the pregnancy and the breastfeeding. Ok, I may need to get another one, but not that many.

  • Morning all,

Hope we are ok - no more boldie baby news! Vibes coming your way x

Lisa - you should have text me, OH would have come put curtain pole up - being a tradesman for 20 years means he is very good at that sort of thing lol. I often farm him out for jobs lol.

Pay day tomorrow and I cannot wait! It has been a long month, and bday treats for me too - I think OH is taking me out for dinner!

Early start day at work today so shattered already! I now have horrid spots all down the back of my throat and on the back of my tongue, wish all these cold type things would do one!

Baby has been on one all weekend, flying about, moving, changing positions - it has been really nice, but I am sure she needs to sleep lol x x x

morning everyone, im off to dog training again tonight, i have managed to barter the price for some aromatherapy the trainer is needing so its only costing me ten pounds for the 12 week course.

re the pate: tesco do a liver free pate wich is on the good list. to be honest tho i havent paid attention to it at all, when my mum had me they were encoraged to eat liver.

Oooh another question for the mummys. I'm planning on buying a few cartons of ready made formula, just for an in case over night calamity, with breast feeding.

I was going to buy Aptamil is this ok? Or is there brands you'd recommend over it? It only appears to come in little cartons though compared other brands, which isn't really a problem :o

i think there all pretty much the same, i will be getting in a carton of sma wysoy just in case she is lactose intollerant.

Morning Snoopy, the thought did cross my mind! Would have had to find someone with a posh drill if DH's friend hadn't had one lol!

Where you going for dinner? I was thinking the other day that I don't know anywhere near us thats nice other than pubs and indians. You'd think with 2 towns to choose from there would be a decent chinese and italian. i'll have to do some research I think!

Hope your cold is better soon, I have a bit of one now too, nothing major but I have a horrible tickle in my throat that makes me start coughing as soon as I try to sleep!

I think the reason liver is suggested as a bad idea is that it has a very high concentration of Vitamin A.

A molecule called Retionoic Acid A is a product of vitamin A and affects the development of the foetal nervous system - it's a signalling molecule so guides where different cells should grow depending on concentration.

Too little vitamin A can lead to abnormalities which is why our parents were told to eat liver. However it's since been proven that too much vitamin A is also very harmful to foetal development.

I suspect that a small amount of pate is not going to do much harm especially after 12 weeks but thought I'd mention the reasoning behind the guidance - I do think it'd be helpful if this kind of information was available when you get told about restrictions rather than just being told don't do it. Then at least we could assess the risks ourselves and make a decision.

Hi everyone, hope you're all ok! Congrats to the new mummies...

Just tried to read back a few pages and wanted to say, for those worried about being able to get the hang of breast feeding, etc, the important thing is if you are struggling, then please ask for help! I was convinced Amelia wasn't latching on properly or getting enough milk, as she seemed to be ok feeding during the day but overnight would want to feed constantly and wouldn't sleep at all. This was made worse emotionally for me as my milk came in yesterday which turns you into a crazy bag of emotions, complete with irrational unexplainable crying, so I was feeling really rubbish and on the verge of throwing in the towel and heading out to get some formula... I then rang the local breast feeding support midwife who came round to the house yesterday, watched me feed her and reassured me that everything that was happening was normal. As a result, last night was a lot better and I'm feeling a lot more confident about the fact that I *can* feed my baby! So make sure you ask for support if you need it, and don't feel like a failure for asking!

I thought Mcflurries were a no no because of the risk of lysteria.
