  • Oohh no, it's lovely. Just have to make sure it's all mixed up. And I asked for a bit more toffee sauce in mine too. Was nom!

Re drinking. I can't wait for Pimms. That's the only thing I've missed, as had to go without all last summer.

Alcohol doesn't even bother me, especially with breast feeding, I won't be able to drink more than 1 anyway :o

First thing I will be doing though is going to our favourite Italian, 12oz medium fillet steak with all the trimmings, NOMNOMNOMNOM. I'm starting to dream about it now. Will obviously have to wait until bubs is old enough to be left with MIL, but it'l be worth it.

    Pate on oatcakes too. Yum.

Ok, no pate, but you can have a steak! As long as it is seared on the outside, it is ok - or have I got it wrong again?

Hello Gilly and Mozzy stop worrying you will be fine plus the newborn thread means you can avoid some of the mess ups we have made !!
Plus think parenting means the worrying goes on a while maybe at least 18 years lol

For those who have bought them, where did you get your nursing bras? I'm not sure where to go, seems either M&S or Mothercare really.

I have 2 hotmilk ones. i got the first one in Debenham's sale then onece I knew that I'd guessed at the right size I looked on Ebay and found that figleaves have an outlet store on there so I got another from them. I really like them as they're comfy and practical but don't look like something your granny would wear! Infact they're much prettier than my the bras I normally have for everyday use, pretty ones usually get saved for going out or treating DH lol!

Wow a 12oz fillet!! DH and I would be in heaven! Bet it costs a fortune though! I used to go to Ireland with and= ex who had family there and they used to take us to this pub called something like 'Dunnegans' where the owner reared his own cattle for using in the restaurant. OMG you have never seen such a big steak! The fillet was twice as big and twice as thick as the normal portion you get of sirloin and the sirloin completely filled one of those big oval steak plates and was about an inch and a half thick!! Seriously tasty too!!! You had to order any sides seperately, even chips weren't included as the steaks were sooooo huge you hardly needed anything with it. We used to get about 3 portions of chips between about 8 people!

Yup! According to the NHS website beef and lamb are fine cooked rare as long as the outside is cooked.

DH's alarm went off at 4.30am this morning :eek: no idea why as he's day off today! Luckily I managed to go back to slepp but when I got up he was still awake, he needed the loo but didn't go as he knew that any more disturbance at that time and I'd def not get back to sleep! Bless him! Saying that he'll make up for it now, I doubt he'll be up much before 11am!

Ooh we now have the curtain pole up in the nursery. What a drama though! DH hates doing DIY, especially if its something thats not his idea! ANd drilling lintels is apparently his least favourite job! ANyway, he started but his drill wasn't good enough so he set off to go see if his Grandad had any better drill bits but passed his mate on the way who lives down the road. His mate has a job where he uses a big drill so he came over and did it.....I think he's my hero as it took him about 5 minutes so DH could stop sulking then lol!
