Ladies you will be apalled to hear that since I've been pregnant, I've completely gone off anything chocolate, with the exception of milkshakes, but at the moment, they are more for medicinal purposes (heartburn) than anything else.
I was the same for about the first 8-9 weeks, couldn't go near anything sweet at all. Then went back to normal. Since I got to 6 months, it has just got ridiculous. No word of a lie, I think I'm purchasing an average of 3 packets of chocolate biscuits, 2 large bars of chocolate and 2 mulitpacks of small snack-size choc bars every 10 days. There's only the two of us. Even DH who has a sweet tooth has started moaning about how much chocolate there is in the house and how I'm turning into a feeder and that he'll end up on Supersize/Superskinny one day because of me and my bad habits.Overpay Mortgage by £9,100 in 2013 - £9,316.16/£9,100

Congratulations Sammie - my guess was wrong then cos i guessed a girl!! Gkad you are both doing well.
Im just going to have a moan. Im lay in bed and i think im getting Braxton Hicks cos they are really painful. I also have horrendous heartburn and i havent stopped crying for the past half an hour. Im so terrified of going into labour in the middle of the night and being on my own and its making me so anxious. Im trying to put on a brave face and be as chirpy as possible but the closer it gets the harder it gets. I know its probably all really normal but i just hate this panicky feeling that im getting and i feel on edge all the time. Got my midwife appt in the morning and will mention it to her as she has been so lovely with me and understands the stress im under at the moment. I know this is meant to be such a happy time and it does my head in that i feel like this but the nights are long and lonely when there is no one else about. Sorry for moaning but i feel a bit better for writing it down.
Hope everyone else is ok and ill try and adopt a more positive attitue in the morning. Promise xxDS1 born June 2000

Congratulations sammie :j Love the name Noah
Big ((hugs)) happy. Have you got a birth partner? Sorry I can't remember if you said. It's completely understandable that you feel panicky. Don't feel like you have to be brave to us because you don't that's what this thread is for, talking through our worries. We are all here for you. I hope the midwife can offer you some reassurance later.

congratulations sammy.x
sorry i didnt post last night, by the time i got home it was past nine and there was no way i was logging in, i wanted to get the kids in bed then sleep.
the scan went well ish.
my fluid level is now 7.0 down from 7.5 but not significant enough for them to need to evict forcibly.
I have to go in today and tomorow for steroids and monitoring. then i am back again tuesday for another growth scan, there is some blood and something else that i cant make out on my notes in my urine, i think its electrolytes or something. so that has been sent off to the lab to see if i have an infection, i reminded the consultant that i still have spotting and she was more interested in getting home for her tea, it was 6pm by the time i saw her (if anyone is on my facebook i apologise for the language i was using by that time) my apointment was 3.45
she said they dont need to evict baby this week as she is happy that she is ok, however if anything changes either at home or during monitoring then they will be forced to re consider.
in the scan it was so nice because the sonogripher took the time to show us parts of isla that you cant really see clearly until now, so we saw her little toes, she had her fist in her mouth then was sticking her fingers up and her tounge out, this made dh cry because he remembered when lilly was born and she kept sticking her tounge out, we used to call it her cheeky tounge. i asked her to just quickly re check that she has a penis deficiency and it is definate, isla is definatley isla and not brian.0 -
Congratulations Sammie! Lovely name for your little boy.
I'm really glad the scan went well Lovecrafting, hopefully the monitoring will provide more reassurance that Isla isn't making an appearance just yet.
Didn't end up going to hospital last night, as despite bp being 198/125 when I called the hospital they told me they were really busy and this is why they don't like people using home monitors. I was kind of speachless tbh and just managed to say in a stunned voice that my consultant had asked me to do it. She said she couldn't tell me not to come in, but at least wait a while, so I did, it came down a little to /114, so I called back and at that point the midwife said she'd had a word with a consultant who as it turns out has met me previously, and he'd told her my home readings are actually usually very accurate, and yes they did ask me to monitor at home - so at least I felt less like a crazy hypochondriac, although it did still put me off doing the safest thing and going down. Have the GP at 10am, if she doesn't put me on new tablets or increase my dose I'll be going straight to the day assessment unit as it's just not safely controlled.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Morning ladies.
Samie, congrats on the birth of Noah, hope you're both doing well. Glad to hear your boys are so taken with him.
Emsbet, I'm being made redundant at the end of next week too but I have 4 days left in the office (not including today), well, 3.5 really as I have a midwife appointment tomorrow.
Happydays, I'm not surprised you're scared, this pregnancy/birth lark is scary enough for any of us but when you're on your own it must be worse. have you got sorted with a birth partner and someone to look after your son yet? If not then perhaps getting that sorted will help put your mind at rest a bit. I see you mentioned your appetitie is starting to decrease now....I bet you still find room for chocolate though! I wish mine would decrease, god knows how I'll get back to healthy eating/dieting once baby arrives!! Saying that, I was good last night and had melon and grapes while DH had a slice of choc cake and ice-cream (I'm not mentioning the fact that I'd already had my slice of cake earlier!!).
Snoopy, when you suggested yesterday that I come do your cake I should have thought and offered to swap and do it if you did some of my cross stitch! its doing my head in! I really want to get it finished, framed and hung in the nursery before the little monster arrives but I can't see it happening!!0 -
Morning everyone.
Massive congratulations Sammie :-) Noah is such a beautiful name. Hope the labour went well and you're not too tired/sore.
Lovecrafting - good luck for your monitoring today.
Dinah - hope your gp has some ideas re your bp and that it's lower today. That midwife sounded nasty last night. Doubt that helped your blood pressure at all :-(
Happy - hope you're feeling better this morning. It's such a scary time anyway. Hope your appt with your midwife goes well.
Emset - I'm also 15 weeks today! Doesn't sound that long at all, seems like I've been pregnant for ages now. Still we're over a third of the way there now. Sure it won't be long until we're boldies....eek! Saw bubba again briefly yday at the obs clinic. Just amazing :-)
Hope everyone has a good and labour vibes to the boldies
