Not yet, I don't have another growth scan until Monday, the last one was at 24 weeks and they just said she was almost exactly an average weight.
I've just taken my arsenal of tablets, I'm monitoring for the next hour, but if it doesn't come down significantly then I'm going to hospital, I'm so scared of the readings I'm getting today. I thought the midwife would send me in this afternoon to be honest.
I really hope it does come down tonight. I would see it as a good sign that she didn't send you to hospital. Sorry can't remember if you posted this, did you have protein in your urine?:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

I had a trace. When I saw her my readings were 135/104-136/98, whereas right now it's 178/122.... I took my tablets an hour ago so they should be working in about an hour... but I shouldn't be getting peaks like this when tablets are due really as it's just far too high.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Evening all, not posted for a few days - tried reading the thread to catch up and did start writing a post last night but couldn't keep my brain in gear.
Dinah sorry to read you're still having problems with your BP, try not to worry too much and make sure you get plenty of rest. It sounds like you're getting good care so hopefully baby won't need to arrive early.
I don't know whether I've missed it, but did Lovecrafting's scan go well today?
Congratulations to everyone who has had babies and labour vibes to everyone who wants them
I've had an interesting couple of days. After the 28 week scan on Friday I ended up feeling really rough and spent the day in bed. Can't remember if I posted at all. 28 week scan was fine, everything measuring at 28+3. Spent most of the weekend in bed under orders from my OH who also spent most of sunday in bed feeling unwell.
Sunday night was fun - I ended up having weird convulsions. Called the maternity unit on Monday, got told off for not going to A&E as soon as the convulsions stopped and was told to coming in to get baby checked. Baby was fine but because I was having really bad headaches (got told off for not telling anyone about those as well until I pointed out my midwife knew as did my obstetrician and they had said to just keep an eye on them) I was given codeine - meant I had the first clear head I'd had for a week
The obstetrician wanted me to see a neurologist and she increased my medication again so hopefully that'll help. Spent today aching everywhere but hopefully I'll be back to normal soon.
Got an appointment with my midwife in 2 weeks and another scan and appointment with the obstetrician at 32 weeks (32 weeks sounds really close).
Well that's me at the moment. Still going to avoid codeine if possible but it's good that I can use it if I stop being able to cope with the headaches.0 -
Oh MrsManda what a dreadful few days you have had. Glad you are feeling a lot better and took time to look after yourself.
Haven't heard anything from Lovecrafting since her scan so can't help you with that one I'm afraid. I know it wasn't until 4pm and she said she had dog training aswell so hopefully she is just busy. It's funny how you start to worry about other people isn't it.DS1 born June 2000

Is it worth just phoning up and checking whether you should go in? I can understand why you are so worried and maybe that would just put your mind at rest. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you xDS1 born June 2000

Dinah ((hugs)) I think as Happy says maybe give the hospital a ring if you are still worried.
Lovecrafting, how did it go today?
I have read back but can't remember anymore, been a stressful day at work.happydays77 wrote: »Emsbet - how are you? Did you have a nice weekend?
 hey I'm not bad thanks, 15 weeks today. The weekend was lovely except I had a stinking headache the whole time, in the end I had to give in and have two paracetemols which took the edge off for a while.
Got to see my family for a few hours too, they are all excited and have been and bought stuff for the baby, I've now got a bath, blanket, baby bath products, some baby gros and vests, hat, mittens and booties. It's very nice of them but I didn't really want anything buying until after the 20 weeks scan. I feel like there's more pressure on me now. Urgh, I'm just being ungrateful.
Just had a yummy homemade pizza with tuna, sweetcorn, olives and jalapeños for tea (well when I say homemade, I bought a chilli and pepper flatbread and chucked it all on the top :rotfl:) But I'm paying for it now with indigestion, hope it goes soon so I can have some chocolate
Got to call and book my next midwife appointment next week. They do it at 18 weeks here instead of 16 for some reason, but at least it means once I've had that I've only got to wait 2 weeks for the 20 week scan
Sorry for the waffle just typing as it came in to my head

When is it that you are made redundant Emsbet?
I'm glad you had a nice weekend. I am still superstitious about anything I buy and although I almost have everything it is still all packaged up with receipts stapled to the bag. I'm sure your scan will come round real quick and before you know it you will have a house full of stuff.
Your tea sounds yummy although I'm not a lover of olives. I just had some soup cos I think I'm finally losing my appetite. I'm not sure there is any room left to put food in my body!!

The end of next week is when I'm officially being made redundant but I only have about 2 and 1/2 days left in the office.
Don't worry I'll eat enough food for you, me and both our babies

You are far too kind Emsbet. To be honest I think I've worn my jaw out. Think I may have to go on pureed food only. Melted chocolate is the way forward.
So do you have travel all that way for the wedding you are going to later in the year?DS1 born June 2000

Mmmm melted chocolate.
My mum's wedding is near Shrewsbury (90 miles away, we saw them all when we stopped over on our way back from plymouth) 4 days before my due date then we have the wedding of two friends the same distance away 6 weeks after my due date so it's going to be a bit frantic.
