well what an odd morning I have had. I went back to sleep after the grumpy one went to school and I woke up after an hour sobbing uncontrollably. I hadn't dreamt or anything. I am turning into a nutjob!!!

Happydays - pregnancy has a lot to answer for!!

I have just hoovered upstairs/downstairs and got on my hands and knees and scrubbed the kitchen floor  I am striking as soon as baby is born as I'm getting fed up of this nesting and OCD cleaning now!! I bought a new rug yesterday for my lounge and I have hoovered it about 4 times as I have a thing against dog hair at the moment! I feel like woman possessed!!

What kind of dog have you got Sammie?
Lol at you thinking you are going to be going on strike. You will be busier than ever!!

You know what is starting to annoy me ladies? People constantly asking me how long I have to go. And I mean people I speak to on an almost daily basis like my mum and best friend. They ask me every couple of days and I feel like saying '2 days less than the last time you asked me'. Do they not have anything else to say???????

  • Hi everyone,

Sorry been AWOL again, just had my head down gettingon with work, housework, ironing and chilling.

I have the midwifethis afternoon for 34 + 4 check up, lets see what she has got to say!

Emsbet - you should always come here when your worried, we all want everything to go well for you, and it is lovely to see you posting everyday,

Happy - you make me howl sometimes, chocolate, foof, weeing and pregnancy - you should do a blog, it would be hugely popular!

We have breastfeeding class tomorrow and then I am cooking for 7 on Sunday for mothers day at my mum's- looking forward to it, but think DH will need to chipin and help lots.

Idon't talk to my MIL - she is a nightmare, and DH doesn't seeher either, but I really want some baby pictures of him, so when little lady arrives I can compare andsee who she looks most like - but how do I contact a woman that doesn't know I am pregnant, and I can't stand, and I would rather wasn't back in our lives. Do I get DH to do it, or do we leave well alone. It's sad, but she is such a destructive influence, she is justcritical and mean and childlike, always saying stuff like I don't look after her son well enough, or that I am fat, or that we neglect her because he doesn't ring her every day, and the best was when she told DH's ex wife that I was infertile, and was going to ruin his life as I couldn't give him anymore children, and he should go back to her and look after the children he already has with her (she is re-married with more kids for goodness sake) rant over - soz lol x x x

Snoopy, tbh I'd leave her, you might find that your little-un might just look like you thruogh and through, so no need to contact her. But if not then, maybe your DH could just go one day and get some - quick in and out... is there a chance she may change (for the better) if she found out you were expectng her grandchild?

I think I am bordering on leaving it, but it makes me sad that baby won't know her nanna, even though I can't stand her, she is still her nanna.

She would be over the moon if she knew, but DH doesn't want to see her and tell her and I have let him make that decision - she is afterall his mum. The problem is, she would expect to take over, come in and tell me what an awful job I am doing, and as always it would make me really cross and a bit stressed, and DH wants to avoid that at all costs, so I feel a bit guilty that he is probably doing it for me, but it is still his choice.

The sad thing is, she only lives 3 milesdown the road.

I find it hard to describe what a destructive influence she is, because although she is not openly to your face mean. she is sneaky and sly and makes bad situations appear when there really is no need.

My mum for example is just supportive, kind and like a mum should be, like I want to be, but his mum is an attention seeker and just can't be happy with her lot, which is agood lot if she took the time to step back and appreciate it! x x
