Try not to panic Lovecrafting, I had a bleed a couple of weeks ago and it turned out to be from my cervix, baby was fine. Have you had any cramping? Hope it goes well, though I am sure it will xx0

Morning ladies. Yes my adorable, charming, kind, pain in the butt of a son got dispatched safely. I think he's going through puberty early cos he's so moody. Everything I ask him to do is a problem and so he spends 5 mind arguing and then does it anyway. I can cope normally but when it's before school and we have to adhere to bus times it's really stressful.
Bet you are thrilled to have finished work Goppers. I know I am but I am at a bit if a loss what to do with myself.
I've also got shopping coming today, I can't wait cos I might have accidentally on purpose put lots of goodies in my trolley.
And I still haven't done my bag for hospital. Not a clue what to put in it and it makes it seem far too real. Gonna definitely have to make the effort this week and do it or I'll just be rocking up with myself and an Easter egg!!!DS1 born June 2000

I haven't got that much energy!! I slept in the day everyday last week and had a really lazy week!! Maybe it's my last burst of energy before baby comes
that would be nice!!
Xxx
Last week was my first week off but i was just too busy to sleep lol. I have been sleeping really well at night, god solid 8 hours (with one or 2 toilet stops in between).
Not long to go now0 -

This could have been written about DS lol we had to run for the bus this morning as he spent the last 10 mins before we went out arguing with me... doubt it's puberty with mine tho, he's only 7 :rotfl:0 -
Lovecrafting - try not to worry too much. I went in with bleeding on Wednesday and baby was fine.
Laura - I think they only check for Strep B during pregnancy if you've had a baby with it previously or there's a reason for them believing you may have a urine/vaginal infection as screening routinely can lead to unnecessary treatment.
Once baby is born they look out for the signs of infection and treat if necessary.
- I've found out quite a bit about it this morning because when I got back from my weekend trip I had a voicemail message asking me to pick up a prescription. Turns out that I have a strep b infection which the labour ward picked up when they were testing me for everything and anything last week to find out why I had bleeding. I scared myself by reading about it and pregnancy - my husband bless him called me to check I was OK and not a wreck. He's training to be a health protection expert so knows alot about this stuff so he managed to stop me worrying
Got a week's antibiotics and they may retest in a few weeks time to check everything's OK.
Got a scan on Friday and an obstetrician appointment the Friday after so should get the results of all the other swabs and blood tests they did last week by then.
Had a really good weekend visiting a couple of friendsTheir baby is due in 3 weeks so next time we see them they'll be parents
I felt a bit disorganised as they've got their nursery all set up, everything bought and packed and it looks amazing whereas in our house other than the Uppababy Vista box you wouldn't know we were expecting a baby. But I guess we have 12 weeks to get sorted
Congratulations to everyone who has given birth and labour vibes to everyone who wants them.0 -
I hope everything is ok Lovecrafting.
Hope Icey is enjoying some mummy cuddles.
