It's more than ok Kira. I would do it but I have absolutely no clue how too. I need a lesson.

Triangle - congrats on joining the Easter Egg munchers. They find themselves in my trolley without me picking them up. They have a mind of their own. But we can blame Sammie for started us off with her list of ice cream, donuts and trifle!!!

Amymo - I hate feeling like that and hate it even more when people fuss. Us pregnant peeps are crazy. I agree with you over choice. 12 years ago when I had my son there was hardly any and it was so much easier but now it's a constant round of decisions. Glad you are ok.

Dark. Congratulations on the birth of Ava. :D

Amymo. I've been using the Johnsons disposable breast pads and have been fine with just them, but i will say that the Cooling Breast Pads have been fab when i've had a lot of milk and my boobles have been a bit sore. I only paid £1 for mine from Morrisons so i think for that price theyre worth it.

Icey. I wouldnt worry too much about being induced. I know theres a bigger risk of section involved, but both of my pregnancies have been induced (1st time drip and waters broken, 2nd time Propess pessary) and i've had 3hour and 1hour 40min labours. Hope things start for you before then though.

Emmylou. Glad Flynn is good for you, and im really Sorry to hear about your MIL.

Cant believe i'm gonna say this, but i'm jealous of you pregnant ladies. Little man is an angel but I'm really missing being pregnant, i want my bump back so much :(

    Hope you're all well x

    Oh he is adorable redhead!

Congratulations darkphaery and welcome to the new ladies.

Fairly quiet weekend for me, had a walk round the village yesterday and might go round the lakes today as its nice out, though not sure its a good idea as my pelvis feels very bruised :0( finally found a car to replace the one that was written off in december, nothing fancy just another 307 but newer and less mileage than my old one. ) Picking it up after work friday, not excited though I hate buying cars I always feel like something will go wrong! Growth scan again tomorrow, looking forward to seeing baby again, hope they have had a nice growth spurt for mummy and daddy :0)
  • Redhead he is lovely. Funny you miss being pregnant as am sure us pregnant ladies are counting down till we have our babies.

Laura know what you mean about cars mine had mot yesterday and was convinced it would fail (120k on clock on 03 plate) but passed no probe. Luckily when I stop work also stop adding 600 miles a week to the thing.
Lovely day here might head out from some fresh air
    Happy Sunday All

Awwww redhead what a gorgeous picture, well jeal lol.

Congrats darkphaery, fab name, so cute.

Well i have just had a walk to matalan and got my mums mothers day present, some slippers for hospital for me, a new bag for me (oooops - was only cheap though) and took DS to McD's for an ice cream, was lovely. Bought some plants on way back and just planted them, I am worn out now.

Promised DS i would make mothers day cards for all grandma's and great grandma's today, so off i go to get the paint out. Can't be bothered but would feel like a bad mum having promised him and then letting him down.

Due in 18 days and counting...hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, the weather is gorgeous here is Lancs.

lovely name you chose. ive never heard of manual removal of placenta before, whats that?
hope you and baby are recovering well. xxx

We were told shortly after she was born that the cord actually went through the membrane (it had a long posh name but i can't remember it :) )they said it could have been really dangerous for me and Ava as it's really fragile and likely to rupture causing a massive bleed but it's not something that shows up on scans.

I had the injection to speed up delivery of the placenta and when they gently tugged on the cord it snapped off! Leaving the placenta inside with no way of getting it out. It wasn't like an emergency rush to theatre but after MW and Dr had a go they decided that manual removal was the only option as they just couldn't get hold of it. All the staff handled it really well and were lovely.

I didn't much like having the spinal and not being able to feel my legs but it was all worth it. I was worried about DH being left holding the baby but as soon as i was done they brought them both to the recovery room and helped me latch her on for her 1st feed :)
