Welcome Triangle, please moan as much as possible and then I won't feel bad about my utterly useless rants!
Gin - your post about your OH and his eating did my pregnancy incontinence absolutely no good. Your turn of phrase is fabulous and it really made me chuckle. It also made me really want some jaffa cakes.
Dizzi - glad you managed to get a bit of sleep and you can get through to Monday when you can see your GP.DS1 born June 2000

Glad it made you chuckle! Some good news for the day - our dishwasher seems to be working again!!!! It went 'on holiday' last week, when it would just fill up with water and not circulate/spray. Thought I'll give it another go today, and it was working fine - I ran it on empty, will get some dishwasher cleaner later in case it as build up of something. Although I would love a new dishwasher, I will be glad to save £400 or so (it is a semi-integrated one).Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Just had a meeting with my boss, I have to let this out - aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!
Apparently his wife worked right up until labour day with all four of their kids, therefore I should stop complaining about the stress of the job and get on with it, I have to laugh or I'd cry, think I'm feeling mega hormonal, thought the third tri was meant to be less hormonal but not so for me :rotfl:
Glad you've slept a bit better Dizzi, not sure which way our little lady if facing today, she did a bit of remodelling herself last night but my ribs hurt less today which is nice!
Off to antenatal alone tonight as DH is out with work, I hate going along alone to things, he says it'll be "character building!"0 -

That is ridiculous! I would be telling something to occupational health or HR or whoever is responsible for your risk assessment at work. Every person is different, every pregnancy is different, and he should not be comparing you to his wife. What sort of job she does? Is it the same as you? With the same a**hole boss? Men - nothing to add...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
A question on babies again. I am looking at getting a thermometer, and i remember my friend was highly recommending the Braun in-ear one. What have you got? Or thinking to get? Or not bothering? Any other 'health utensils' I need? Brushes, scissors, anything?Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Gah - the knitted cardies have picked up a load of fluff in the washer - hopefully it'll come off with some sellotape when they're dry! Really miss my old machine - this one's pants in comparison and the wool cycle's cack!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Hi everyone.
I am in de-camp mood today, last day at work. So far I have flowers and my very good friend made some cakes, which are yummy!
I know there is another present as I saw it wrapped up lol (and they always do a big collection), the friend that made the cakes asked me what I would like and I told her I would really like this
http://www.mothercare.com/Babymoov-Changing-Bag-Chocolate-Green/dp/B004T8CP2K?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_4&nodeId=42764041&sr=1-4&qid=1330695739&pf_rd_r=01G15SR2YB9G1XKNBG0S&pf_rd_m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=231490887&pf_rd_s=center-7
I would be really happy if they have got me it (parcel looked suspicially like a bag shape) but vouchers would be just as good.
The only bit I am not looking forward to is the presentation, they always expect you to say a few words - eeek.
Finally got last of Mothercare furniture delivered yesterday - even though it was to store, and we had to go and collect it! The upside to the delay is that we have walked away with £120 in vouchers, which will pay for 4 things still on my list - Group 1 car seat, crib bedding, some cotbed sheets and a door frame bouncer thing.
I got my HR letter through the same day, hold on - I wrote it as I am the HR manager lol! x xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -
Snoopytweety - hope you have a lovely last day at work. Fingers crossed it's the bag you want, it looks lovely by the way and a great price compared to some I have seen
Enjoy your time off and remember to rest as much as you can before baby comes along!!

Thanks - I will try to, but have said I will work from home for 3 weeks - bumps my money up a little, but at least I can wear my trackies, or pj's and not have to drag myself up too early.
What I can't get my head round is the fact that I will be a mummy in 4 or 5 weeks eeekkkkk. Actually having to be responsible for a tiny tiny (I hope tiny) little human being. I feel a bit quesey now lol. xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -
Sorry your boss is being a pain Amymo. At the end of the day they have a legal requirement to make adaptations to suit pregnant women and everyone is different so it's not really on for him to compare his wife's pregnancy to yours.
I was supposed to be at an occupational health assessment today, set up by our HR to "see if they agree with your doctor" - basically they don't want me off work and seem to think there is some way they can overcome high blood pressure with a comfy chair or allowing me to take more breaks. I'm in no rush to reschedule, especially as my doc wrote my new sicknote for 8 weeks not 4 weeks this time as she said there was no way I'm going to be going back to work until I have a baby in my arms. My boss at least is being completely supportive but sadly he's not the one I have to deal with.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
