Morning all!
Good luck raven, I hope things have continued to progress over night. fab substitutions on your shopping. I got a free bottle of ariel washing liquid with my order last week that must have been meant for someone else! Unfortunately it's not non-bio so will have to be sneaky about using it (for mine and DH's stuff only) as DH is funny about it!happydays77 wrote: »I've moved into this new house at the beginning of last October and I am proud to say my new ironing board has never been out of the packaging. Is that really bad!!!!!???
My ironing board is almost 3 years old and has probably been used less than 10 times! I iron shirts and stuff but we rarely go out so they're not worn often. My work clothes don't crease if I give them a good shake when they come out of the machine and DH wears big thick overalls over his all shift so no-one sees them. I will be ironing all the baby stuff when I wash it though, it'll probably never get done again but at least it'll all be nice for when it first arrives!
I can't wait to leave work, as you've probably already gathered! The job I used to do finished in october so I've been stuck on a boring project ever since. its something that I was verykeen to NOT get involved with when it first started a few months earlier and I did my best to avoid having anything to do it. at that time it was run by 1 manager who was 2 levels above me and 2 managers the level above me, now its just me!!!! And its soooooooooo boring! I'd have definately been looking for another job long ago if I hadn't known I was leaving anyway.
Has anyone bought a baby carrier? Not a sling, I want one of those ones that you wear on your front and can have baby facing you or facing out. I don't want to spend a fortune as it won't get used loads but there are a few walks I'd like to be able to do over the summer that aren't practicle with a pram due to stiles etc.0 -

I haven't bought one yet but am planning on it as I think it would be easier if we wanted to go shopping to have baby in a carrier rather than pushchair. If you aren't bothered about it being second hand try ebay. There are always loads on there that have hardly been used for less than £10 - or Gumtree? Mammas and Pappas have some in their leap year sale but they are still £39.
Good luck Ravenlady. I guess Lucy must have had baby now as we havent seen her for a couple of days?0 -

OH MY WORD i wish that was me, I iron everything, bedding, vests, pyjamas lol. Used to be an iron as I go girl, but too hard now a days with a 3 year old and pg.
I have OCD and even iron stuff that has come out of the dryer lol.0 -
Just popping in to say good luck ravenlady, possible leap day baby, how exciting and lovely! Xx
On the chocolate note, it gives heartburn, so much to my disgust I avoid it in the evenings which is my normal chocolate eating timesSealed Pot Challenge Member #8810 -
Hey everyone, could someone add me to the list please?
I am 12+5 and due on 7th September. Terrified but excited also. Have been lurking, reading up on everything. Looking forward to getting a bit further along and developing a proper bump!
Congratulations and welcome - your bump will soon be here hon.happydays77 wrote: »I'm ok thanks Emmylou. Think I'm just having a down couple of days. It's hard when there's no one to rely on or talk to about things. It should be such an exciting time but circumstances make it a bit difficult to enjoy a lot of it. I'll get there in the end though and that's the main thing. When little man is here that will be my new focus and I won't have time to dwell on the past.
I'm definitely in the mood for eating everything and anything in sight tonight. I wonder if it possible to wear your jaw out!!!! I'll give it a good go.
xxx
It is only natural hon, remember how I told you I was in my first pregnancy when my sperm donor left, it was very very hard, and will take time. I am 4 years the other side now and my life could not be better. Always here to speak if you need to. But like you say, when baby is here you will be a different lady and will not give a damn about your past. It will be hard at first wondering if/when he will show up and what part he will play - my son's sperm donor never saw him when he was born, i text him and his family but he didn't want to know - his loss. I tried and tried for my son but am happy with the outcome now. He has never ever seen him.I think this is it starting!!!!
Been crampy most of last night, spent most of the day 'evacuating', sort of a crampy/dragging feeling in my bum cheeks every now and then, had not painful but 'hard' BH's most of the day that stopped me momentarily and starting to have lower back pain from about 4pm onwards.
About 7pm I got a mildly painful contraction, followed by another every 20 mins so hoping they will keep going on through the night.
My labours take a while to get in to full swing so not getting my hopes up too much, going to potter around the house finishing off the nappy washing and then have a bath before tesco delivers at 9pm, OH/that annoying guy isnt due back till about 11 but is easily contactable but the bedroom is a shh!t tip and everything is piled in our room from my cleaning frenzy.
Ohhhhh good luck love, not long to go now. Sending lots of labour vibes
Morning all.
Happy wednesday2 days to go at work for me, well 1 and a half as midwife 36 week check tomorrow so will not be in work till about 10:30

Lol, personally we would celebrate on the 1st March, so the day after the 28th every year. Otherwise, if u did it on the 28th, every 4 yrs he would have to wait an extra day lol!
I`ve tried pretty much everything I can think of to get him moving, but nothing! All my kids have been late tho, closest was 3 days after my due date, so he still has a few days yet lol xxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

Just had a bit of breakky but thb im not that hungry, ds2 is more than happy to help finish off my toast.Little Person Number 4 Due March 2012
