I don't know if its just local advice about the swaddling or nationwide from a organisation,I had my baby at bolton but my visiting midwives were from wigan as where I live falls under wigan.they also said not to have a hat on baby indoors not to place cot near Windows or radiators and they asked to check the area where baby would be sleepingDD1 27/5/1992

Hello all! Haven't been on for a couple of days, and there are 10 pages to read through!!! I have no idea how much I missed, will try and read through sometime.
I am keeping ok. My feet were cramping badly this evening, so resorted sticking them in a bowl of hot water, seems to feel better now, will see what the night brings. Had a good weekend. Went shopping for the hospital bag on Saturday. Went to Primark for nighties, but not sure what you ladies were talkin about. I got one with a few buttons at the top for £4.50. Someone mentioned packs of two nighties with buttons, could some one post a picture of them, as I couldn't see packs. Got some maternity pads, breast pads, nipple cream, etc. There are still a few things on my list to get. And for the baby I still need some cardigans (got none so far, well won one on eBay, they seem quite pricey!) and sleepsuits.
Yesterday went for my nappy hunt with remainng Huggies vouchers, and boots was the cheapest, so go 3 bigger packs of size 2 and same of size 3. And 15 packs of wipes for free.. OH was quite impressed, as the total before came up to nearly £52, and £25.99 after! Plus, around £8 or £9 in points!
And today made the first big purchase - ordered car seats and bases. We went for Maxi cosi cabriofix, one seat in red and one in black, and easybase 2 bases. It will make it easier to move the bases if needed, I think, plus, they were so much cheaper! For all it came up just under £330. We could have got it for a bit less if we got both seats in black, but decided to get them different, so we can assign ne seat fir each baby and not mix up. The car seats we got on boots.com with 20% off parenting club voucher and double points (so, on top of reasonable price for both seats of £191.99 we also got over £33 in points). I think I might treat myself to the glider chair from boots with the points I have saved (will be about £400 with these added).
Right, I better get going to bed....
Have a great sleep all!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Won't be able to get IN to the dentist for at least a month anyway - and last time I went in she was so angry I was pregnant she absolutely butchered me with a descale and polish so painful I was sobbing and shaking as I left (and she's normally incredibly good with me being such a dental phobe - not just a dislike but a sheer, two years with toothache, phobia - waits till my teeth are numbed for something else to do scales and polishes) - so looks like it's night after night of screaming in pain on the sofa for me. She really WAS so peed off last time I went for a check and told her I was pregnant it was bizarre... like I did it to personally spite her dental work.
I swear if I could find a pair of pliers right now I'd do it myself - it's like my entire skull is having contractions.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Is there not an out of hours/emergency dentist u could go to dizzi? or, go into the dental surgery 2moro, ask to speak to the practice manager, explain ur concerns about seeing ur dentist, and ask (DEMAND!) to be seen by someone else? Failing that, change dentists??? They cant leave u like it, if u have an infection thats not good for u or baby, gum disease can cause premature labour amounst other probs hun. I really do empathise tho, it was me last weekend like it

Got an email through from M&P not sure if it'l be for everyone, but worth a try eh?
They are doing 29% off quite a few items on Wednesday only for the leap year. I'm planning on treating myself to a baby carrier
loads of them in the offer.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
