Congratulations to all the new mummies :)
I've not been reading the thread since Wednesday so by the looks of it I've missed ALOT. I'll try to catch up tomorrow but congratulations to the new mummies, hugs to boldies who are still waiting.
I'm now 24 weeks by the scan dates which is a little scary but also reassuring.

After spending a lot of time in Kiddicare, Mamas and Papas, Mothercare and Toys R Us we chose a pram yesterday, ordered it today and have just received an email to say it's been despatched and will arrive tomorrow :D

We decided on the Uppababy Vista which is slightly more expensive than what we wanted to pay but ticks all our boxes and has great reviews - even my MIL liked it :)

It's really exciting as this is the first baby purchase we've made bar a moses basket we bought ages ago which is still at my inlaws. I'm just relieved we've finally decided :p Hopefully buy the car seat later this week.

*hugs* to everyone, hope everyone is well.

Are those the pockets? I have a couple in my stash but they dont scale down small enough for a new baby, i think they only fitted my ds from about 5 weeks onwards.

Yup, the ones with the pockets. I think they fit from about 8lbs or so and as Elvis is being projected as high 8's to low 9's by the MW hopefully we will be OK.

I still think we will be using the disposables for the first few weesk though.

We got two packs of washable wipes with the BumGenius stuff we got at the Baby Show. If we use them great, if not they'll get used to mop up other spills I should think ;)

Did anyone else see the picture Katie Price posted on Twitter? (I detest the woman) but she claims she "over indulged on junk food"

    JUNK FOOD?

Really? I'm by no means a skinny minny and don't even think I could manage that.

This will sounds like a stupid question but how do you go about washing them? (I assume you mean the likes of these?):

You get rid of most of the poo down the toilet and then just take the insert out of the pocket bit and stick the wrap and the pocket in the washing machine?

These ones give a much better fit if your thinking of trying.

Because they are fleece lined the poo just sort of peels off when tipped down the toilet, pull out the insert and put them all in a lidded bucket or wetbag until its time to wash them.

Tip time - I find those huggies cotton soft sheets great. I use them for top and tail, nappy changes, clean messes, and for bathing my stitches too. They great with warm water for nappy changes. We used wipes at hospital, but here with use them. :)
