  • Huge congrats to Floaty

Natwesty I had anti-D and had no adverse effects last time and will need it again this time. I think the mw said a very very small number of women react but quite rare.

    Anyone getting groin pain?:o
I have it in one side and it hurts most in afternoon/ night after being active in the day and esp in bed. I don't drive and walk a fair bit with DD in the pram but I'm getting to the point of wincing in front of her and feeling so grumpy with the pain.:(
Is this SPD??? I've got 17 weeks left and hate taking pain killers. Anyone feeling like this?Argh!!!
Sorry, my first pity-me min-rant there.

Hope everyone else is feeling okay today.:)

  • It does look lovely but I wouldn't be spending anymore money now, certainly not on 1 outfit to come home in. I have got some very very comfy pant from sainsburys, about £8. They are in fact pyjama pants but they look like joggers and are amazingly comfortable.

Huge congrats Floaty on your precious bundle, love the name Scarlett.

I wouldnt buy it, I just want it :D I might see if I can still fit in to one of my pre-pregnancy maxi dresses instead as they are really roomy. I dont have many maternity clothes to be honest. 3 pairs of jeans which are getting a little tight, 1 pair of leggings also getting a little tight a dress and some tops. Might invest in some joggers then. Where is the best/cheapest place to buy them from?

I got yoga pants from Matalan. I am in them every day at home, and if I can get by, going to town/shopping. Have some smart clothes for office, but these yoga trousers are my favourite...

The dress - it looks nice, but it is just not for me. The cut is so low, none of my maternity/nursing bras would be suitable to go with that dress!!!! (well, unless I want to show off my bra!)

  • I hadn't even thought about that Gin! Thats why its good to get other peoples opinion :0) Think I'll check out Ebay and see what bargains I can find on some bottoms, though have just spotted a black maxi dress on the newlook site for £24.99, could always sell it afterwards and would be able to wear it to work too (if its not too long for my 5ft 1 body lol!) I know it might sound silly and I'm sure will be the last thing on my mind when it comes down to it but I want to look nice the day I bring LO back from the hospital - it will be one fo the most important days of my life

I just thought a dress would be more comfy than trousers and it looks easy to BF in.

Good point! I think i'm just a bit of a slob TBH!!!

I have yoga pants from both H&M and matalan and they are both really comfy, I remember you saying your not very tall so you'd probably find the matalan ones best as they are a bit short for me and I'm 5'8", the H&M ones are about the right length for me. I think both pairs were £10 each.

I have hardly any maternity clothes, I only got 1 pair of jeans and they are getting a bit uncomfortable now. they're not tight yet but I think they're just a bit restrictive as they're not as stretchy as my lovely yoga pants!

I've just had to pop out of work for an hour as my mum rang in a panic because one of the horses had a nasty wound. She does a fab job of looking after them for me but she's not confident to sort them out when there's a problem, she will do whatever I tell her but she likes me to see it for myself so she knows it's definately ok. It does look pretty nasty but it'll be ok, only problem is we've had to take her rug off as it was rubbing the wound (that's what had caused it) so you all need to keep your fingers crossed the weather doesn't get too cold as she's an old lady and she won't be shut in a stable so she'll have to cope without the rug till it heals! Luckily she is like a fluffy teddy bear so atleast she has something to keep her warm but it'll be a shock to her system if it does get cold now when she's had a lovely warm rug on all year!

I didn't buy a lot either, 2 pair of linen pants, 2 leggings and about 6 maternity tops. They have lasted me but like you all are getting uncomfy now. I bought a dress about a month ago from next, for a 40th last week and a wedding 6 days before I am due, didn't want to buy that but had to get something dressy. I may come home in that, never thought about a dress :)

I got some yoga pants from sainsburys, in small length as I am only 5"2....short @rse.....

Off for my hair doing this aft, DS is going grandads for the afternoon as it is across the road from hairdressers and he doesn't work friday. Last day of half term for me today, 15 working days left.....yippeeeeeeeeeeeee :T

It does sound like SPD, but could also be you r over doing it a bit. I'm 36 wks and have been getting pain in my groin area, sometimes if I have sat down in one position too long or lay in bed, but I'm not as active as you r by the sounds of things.

Fingers crossed u don't get it so bad u need crutches! I'd ring the midwife, they might send u to physio.
    Got married 13/11/10 :)

Hi Lola. Thanks for replying.:) Yes, think you're right. I better had give in and see MW! Tried phoning her but booked up so will try next week. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Olympic athlete - it's just with not driving, I walk everywhere and it's such a pain (literally now.) Will learn to drive in late August at a spritely 34.:o Feel like last person in UK without a licence but that's another moan for another day...:rotfl:Trying to ease into the thread slowly.

On the plus side, just got DD some bargain Nike trainers off Ebay. They are so soooo cute. I love little shoes.
