Aww just watched OBEM from last night and I didn't feel like my stitches were about to burst open, I think mentally I may have recovered
I actually want to do it again, which I'm assuming makes me crazy?!?

Gilly ur mental lol
Well done and congratulations floaty and love the name! X
Mozzy- hope u are doing ok x I did not have pethidine so can't help there. Re back pain sympathy Hun mine was carp but mine had a bad exit strategy and was back to back hoping your monkey is better behaved, presume they know which way they are positioned. Hoping u have had bubs but will keep checking in.
If u have gas and air it can make u sick (it did with me) but the gas and air did help with the pain.

Congrats Floaty, beautiful name, I love both Scarlett and Ella but DH won't entertain either of them!I REALLY would like this for my coming home outfit : http://www.asos.com/ASOS-Maternity/ASOS-MATERNITY-Maxi-Dress-with-Grecian-Drape-Detail/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2003030&cid=5813&Rf900=1465&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=-1&sort=-1&clr=Woodrose
37 working days left for me and counting! Wish I could finish early but I want as much time the other side as I can as I'm only taking 6 months off
Blimey that's rather dressy! I haven't even got a coming home outfit for baby and I should think i'll be in my comfiest yoga pant, t-shirt and trainers lol! I remember quite a lot of talk on here a good while ago about ladies just going home in their Pyjamas as that is comfiest lol!
I have 20.5 days left at work but spread over 6 weeks. Oh and I'm 30 weeks today......eeeek 3 quarters of the way there!Hey Mozzy, good luck!
When do you guys go for your ward tour if you have one? Midwife hasn't mentioned it butI have a list of qs, including whether DH will be sent home/ when visiting hours etc apply!
Snoopy and I went on the hospital tour last Sunday, I hadn't been told anything about it, I only knew they did them because Snoopy told me. My widwife is carp!!Good evening ladies & bumps - hope everyone is wel :-)
I just wondered if anyone had any advice on how to deal with cramp in your legs and what causes it? I've woken up crying out in agony two nights on the trot now (nearly scared my husband half to death!) and can barely walk today. Is this common? I'm nearly 27 weeks now. Someone recommended a hot bath but I've heard they're not good in pregnany so not sure what to do :undecided
Also has anyone here had an Anti-D injection (sorry if this has already been discussed and I've missed it). I knew I'd need one from when I used to donate blood (I'm O-neg) and wondered if there are any common side affects? I'm due to be in London the next day (travelling down from W. Yorks) so just wondering if I'll be OK.
Thanks as always for any advice you may have! x x
As someone has already mentioned, tonic water is meant to be good for leg cramps and so is having a banana a day.
I have had the anti-d injection (actually had it 3 times so far this pregnancy) and had no side effects at all. I'd have been fine to go to London straight after it so i'm sure you'll be fine the next day. At my hosp they just made me wait 10 mins to make sure I didn't have a reaction to it but that's just a precaution, I don't think it's common to have a reaction to it or anything.
I've now reached the stage where I can't get comfortable in bedLast night I tried sleeping with a pillow to support the bump but that lasted about 5 mins! Although it was better for the bump I then couldn't get my arms or legs comfortable as the pillow was in the way and I definately would never sleep if my arms and legs aren't comfy!
MIL seems to be enjoying the fact that I'm starting to find things a bit more uncomfortable now, I think she's been disappointed so far not to be able to say to people that I have this that and the other ache/pain/symptom lol! And she says she's fed up of waiting now....well she'll have to wait a bit longer, much as I can't wait to meet my baby I'd like him/her to cook for a bit longer yet please!!!0 -

Congratulations Floaty! A lovely name!!!
I got up this morning, sat in the bed, and got a cramp in my leg straight away. I managed to stop one at night, but as soon as I sat down, my gel went distorted - I had a cramp in my chin on the side by the knee and in the ankle, so I couldn't put my foot down on the floor! Called OH for help, he tried to gently turn my foot to be straight, which resulted in me crying out loud and falling back onto bed, as I was gettign another cramp hight up my thigh on the side as well!!!! In the end I asked him to refill my hot water bottle, and while he was downstairs sorting that out, I had a sip of water that I always keep by my bed these days and all cramps went away within seconds!!! Ok, I can still feel the residues, but it is ok. OH as offering to take me to GP, my leg really looked so odd. And yes, I did not have a banana yesterday, as we have finished the ones we bought...
Right, my 'lovely' boss left me a lot of work to do after he 'finished it', and he wants to issue report today, so I was sat in front of my laptop until 8.30 last night and need to get on this morning. And I have some tradesmen coming to give us a quote on the nursery room. I am not dressed, not showered, and I am going out to meet with a friend tonight. Seems like an easy day!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

My hospital doesn't do tours, but they do have a 'short online film' you can watch. It's a bit like an amateur version of One Born Every Minute, but with ladies who are laughing and smiling through their labours rather than shouting at their husbands :rotfl:
Are you on about the Rosie Beccad?0 -

It does look lovely but I wouldn't be spending anymore money now, certainly not on 1 outfit to come home in. I have got some very very comfy pant from sainsburys, about £8. They are in fact pyjama pants but they look like joggers and are amazingly comfortable.
Huge congrats Floaty on your precious bundle, love the name Scarlett.0
